Very true. This year the first outing will be a challenge. The props are intricate and practice time with them has been limited. The music and marching is ahead of our norm though. Really excited to see them in competition. 
 

I can watch 20 of their practices and then they perform and I’m like this is a different band!

I think Dawson could do quite well here. I saw a couple weeks ago a clip and was very impressed. Could shock so people here maybe, very excited to see how they do

Thoughts on Friendswood ? I think Friendswood can possibly get top 8 at this comp, their content and design is better than most of the other bands that are coming to this comp. There music and brass are so good and their uniforms are very unique and really stand out compared to other bands going.

I did really want to put Churchill Fulshear on my list but the majority won out

I’m hoping now that they’ve broken the barrier to SA finals maybe their early season can get an upstart too.

That being said Keller and Vista Ridge never broke out of not peaking too early but then being super competitive later on.

I am blown away by their marching and playing this year. Huge improvement over last year. 
now the show design… well.. that’s certainly something!

Watched SL on Thursday. They in my opinion might have the best show here. HOWEVER, they do need to clean a LOT of things up. I think they still place top half but they will probably get around that 3-6 range

Have to agree with both of these sentiments.. 

klein oak’s show has so much potential and I know they have a better run in them, the question is if they’ll get another chance. Glad to see clear brook’s props finished!
