2023 was the last year of the LISD, Wylie, Prosper, and Mckinney schools being in Area C (along with some others)

You’re right, I was remembering them competing against each other but forgot which area they were in. In my mind they’ve been better suited for UIL so I typically place them above prosper because of it

I don't think so. RH has had a tough couple of years. My son was a first to four at RH and they made finals every comp including 4th at BOA Waco in 23. Have they made a finals since then??

Yes, Boa bedford, melissa, mckinney, and then narrowly missed last year by one for area finals, and then missed by 2 for boa prosper this year, so I think they are making final.

personal opinion would rather take monday as area, weather looking VERY nice for that and have two runs rather than a hot humid wet and sticky sat one run

It would definitely be a better environment for the performers, but Monday would be a logistical nightmare between transportation, volunteers not being able to take off work, kids having to make up schoolwork, and then finalist students having to go to school Tuesday after a very long day.

trust skip two days of school 😭 and then pay the volunteers for the hours they miss off work, and then the kids get 100s on any assignments missed, and then ppl who take busses to school  have to walk cause band needs them

Leaving Wylie East out feels strange to me, but this is sorta my gut feeling on how this will play out. Really enjoy McKinney Highs show, and think they could definitely be higher. Same with PESH, just can't justify it from a predictions perspective. Boyd is a dark horse to me in the sense that I have no real clue what they are going to do, only full show I haven't seen.

weather looks clear for saturday its gonna be a great day for marching band!! Im excited to see allen in finals. they are doing really good this year, i think their size helps them sound better than alot of other programs ie. flower mound, hebron, marcus, and bands like princeton that are known for being good.
