From the high cam and the press box the screens are not at all bad. I am also on do not like the inclusion of the sceens team, but the way people on this forum have discussed them this season makes me feel like y'all have attention spans of goldfish. Like they're distracting and suck from the front rows, but beside that it's really not that hard to look past them and watch the band. Hopefully they change next season.

HELLO Lebanon Trail!! They really left it all on the field, could see them moving in the rankings. Beautiful sounds from opening soloists into that huge opening hit. Tons of musical variety throughout, soloists were amazing, and that brass, oh so crisp. Percussion has been locked in all year, and toady was no different. Visually so compelling, just so much going on and it's such a well-done show. Welcome back to state finals, super excited for their future, amazing job LT!!

Seeing them both at Kelly Reeves and in the dome, it's not as bad in the dome, especially up top. 

At Kelly Reeves, the screens were absolutely blinding in the night run and impossible to look past.

Wakeland's drill from up top is a treat. Some of the best out there.

Wonderful final performance from Wakeland!! Opening impact had me turning my headphones down, my goodness. They are nailing those huge, fractured forms in the drill, great effect. Creep ballad is beautiful, that trumpet soloists is top notch, great work from the Euph as well. Brass seemed a little tired towards the end, could just be me but prelims seemed a little more locked in the closer. Visually once of the best, such an incredible show, fantastic job Wakeland!!

Doing my posting all out of order so enjoy. The quiet movement of Lebanon Trail's show is wonderful. That smooth, deep woodwind texture supported by the bari saxes before including brass is some of my favorite soft stuff of the year. Soft stuff that many shows don't even have. Great way to set the program apart, the top half placement is very well earned!

I personally feel for Friendswood I think they should have made finals the content and design score is so dumb.Who doesn’t like Fleetwood Mac.

Stellar showing from Argyle!! I see why they did so well yesterday, that was wonderful. They are performing the heck out of Resurrection, love the high knees in the end, great effect. Soloists were fantastic, the DM sax in the ballad was crazy good, just an amazing show top to bottom, amazing job Argyle!!

Super curious to see the results this time! I was a little taken aback by the prelims results so hoping for something noteworthy. ;)

Fantastic job by everyone!!! One of the best top-to-bottom 5A finals, everyone gave it their all, and I can't believe were already at this point in the season. It's my last comp I'll be commenting on for the season, can't believe the season is pretty much over, it's been an amazing one!!

The show itself is stunning and very well done. It is a shame that others cannot look beyond the screens and see the show like you have done. We should all remember that the kids on the field see these comments too.  Time for the adults to look beyond their old-school ideas and move into the future.

At this point I don't think Lone Star cares..... Its disheartening for them but they should be proud of what they did .... the directors parents and the students know their worth and know where they should be...... much love to Lone Star high school marching band......

They’re definitely in high spirits! Just a little miffed about prelims numbers. They also never had their repertoire announced in prelims or finals…

I thought they had a great show and they worked hard. I was upset they didnt make finals.

As a student at Leander High School, I'm really hoping that they get a good place. I've been able to watch as they have progressed with their show at games and during rehearsal. They put a lot of hard work and effort into the show, and they did very well at finals! Also, perks to all of the LISD schools that made it into finals in both 6A and 5A. Lastly, I just wanted to shoutout to my friend - who is on the LHS marching band - Dayce. He's done such a great job during this season and is very devoted to his band. Great job Dayceeee!!!!!!!!!!!
