wow, i absolutely love that piece! it makes me wish i was a clarinet player lol -
i'm wanting to do something in music, but i don't want to be a performance major. i've heard of like a music therapy major, it sounds interesting but i have no clue what it is lol. maybe you play soothing music for people while they lie on a coach or something..

bettis fumbled on the 1 yard line. he's washed up and is lucky that wasn't his last play as a professional.

Georgetown Wind Symphony is submitting to midwest. so far our concert will definitley include fantasy variations on a theme by paginini Glory of the yankee navy sketches on a tudor psalm and maybe fiesta del pacifico and not to mention sketches of blue and white forever, a piece to be premiered at the ncbf in indianapolis -
your entitled to your opinion xenon, but how can you give the marcus drumline an 8? they're like a 10 every time. it's just the music. their shows are definitley not full of percussion features, and i don't know why. maybe it's a boa thing. none of the top boa bands seem to really have any sweet drumline anything in their shows. i think it's just a style thing, to not have a heavy percussion featured show. but yeah, marcus drumline kicks A, definitley giving them a 10.

Hey thanks! yeah last year was awesome! this year was ehh. but next season we're playing like some kind of pyramids theme or something like that, should be interesting! thanks for the compliment oh and there's a recording of it in the media section here! -
NOOOO! why vincent why? breaking news: he just decided to skip his senior season
-
i hope his grandma has a good talk with him about finishing up! but if he does what matt leinhart did and stayed for his senior season, well, look at what happened to matt leinhart... but we've got so many returning starters, i think 22 or 21 out of 24, that's not a bad stat.

so i found out why they mic the bands so horribly.. the rose bowl has a contract with abc where they have to show at least 2 minutes of each university's band. of course the abc people hate it and think it's a waste of time. and they do a bad job of showing the bands and don't properly mic them and everything so that the rose bowl won't want to show the bands any more. I think if the television companies would start showing the band's half time show, and do a proper job of it, they could broaden their audience soo much. and kids in high school band would be more motivated to be in the marching band in college because they would get to be on tv you know. or maybe the abc people were just ignorant about how to mic a marching band...

yeah baby! go texas!! i'm so pumped for this game! i bet it would be cool to be in the UT Band, you get to go to all the longhorn football games, and pretty decent seats! but yeah here's my prediction: Texas: 38 USC: 31

bummer... so did they tell your band that it was going to be a great experience and make all these promises about how great it was going to be? maybe they realized how bad it was last year and have fixed it. hey are you the guy with the 201 at reigon try-outs? -

the boa representatives really hyped us all up about the festival. they said that like the auditorium would be packed and everything. But I remember a previous thread that said the only people at their boa festival concerts were the other bands. -

thanks! i think it's kinda like the midwest clinic where you send in a tape and get it judged. when the boa people came to talk to our school about it they said 46 or 47 schools sent in tapes. so it's not one of those deals where you pay money to go play, but it's def not as prestigious as the midwest clinic. right, and you have to be a boa member. -
