  1. The girl probably had problems, which is understandable, considering everyone in Georgetown is inbred. lol Except the Sun City residents, they are the stronghold.
  2. I'd like to point out that this event at least didn't involve any Georgetown Band members. I have no excuses for random Georgetown HS students. It seems like she wasn't involved in any school related organizations, but it is still unfortunate that she had to behave that way.
  3. Please share
  4. holy cow, i love cheesecake factory! chocolate mousse cheesecake is the bomb!
  5. Georgetown's finest
  6. Any idea on where they'll be at? I assume the football stadium...
  7. sweet! Is that Cedar Park '04 on the top?
  8. We actually have 3 helicopters to load our stuff on to.
  9. I hope your teacher is doing alright. Last I heard, he was having life-altering surgery. Best wishes to him and his family.
  10. percussion starts this thursday.
  11. 6 Basses? Does the 6th bd on the high end or the low end?
  12. I know that Curtis takes one bassoon undergraduate per year. I also heard on NPR that only 10% of Julliard graduates have a career in music. I know that I couldn't pursue a career in music, it's just too unstable in too many ways. Unless you go for music education, that's the most reasonable way to incorporate music into your career. But I can completely understand if that's what you want to do, if that is what you are passionate for.
  13. bassoonist by day, percussionist by night
  14. ...yeah you can double tongue on woodwinds, flutes probably use it the most. It's not the instrument, it's being able to make the clicking noise in the back of your throat while messing with your embouchure that makes it hard. But it's not impossible, amateur musicians are capable of doing it.
  15. So where is Freddy Adu at? I thought he was the ultimate soccer prodigy or something.
  16. Try using different syllables. taka, diga, etc
  17. It would be really interesting to compare these scores and ranks with finals at the end of the season. While keeping in mind that a few corps haven't been officially judged yet. I remember during last season towards the end of July when Cadets and Cavies traded first and second. I guess a lot can change througout the season, but this is basically it. I mean, it's definitley going to be interesting to see what happens, but this is pretty much what it will look like come finals night.
  18. Another thing that happens often is when a band gets placed higher just because of its reputation. It's not fair to list specific examples, but sometimes you just know when you've been cheated.
  19. 1 word?: hack-a-shaq. that has to be so embarassing for him. He has to know that everyone in the country is laughing at him every time he misses.
  20. sweet, new drums too

  22. we're going too...
  23. imagine cleaning 56 snares. even if you could get 56 of the world's best snare drummers, it would be nasty. nasty as in bad. 9 or 10 is usually the max, any more is just too difficult to make it sound decent.
  24. can anyone say 5 time state champs?
  25. yeah it's not exactly designed for speed, or to look sleek. It wouldn't be my first choice if I had $50,000 to spend on a car, but I would definitley drive if it was for free or cheap. I mean it's not bad to look at it by any means.
