  1. So, here's the thing with the multi-cam. For some reason every band after a break, both on Monday and Tuesday, were high cam only, even if you were on the multi-cam feed, as I was. So, since Cedar Park was the first band out of the break, there only was a high cam feed, even though I was on the multi-cam feed.
  2. Stephen F. Austin is under new leadership, including Cedar Park's former marching director as its new lead director. That band is a work in progress but they are going to be pretty strong by the end of the year and a force to be reckoned with in the years to come.
  3. Lake Travis is the only band that won't be there that was an area finalist in 2011 because Lake Travis is now 5-A. Leander is a new addition because it moved to 4-A. Here is the latest Cedar Park video. Both the opener and balad are on the field for the first game and they're moving fast and playing loud as you would expect.
  4. Here is what I have been wondering. Is Cedar Park the first to have the 4-A Honor Band and the defending UIL State Champion marching band at the same time? I'm sure someone out there knows whether this is a rare event or if it happens all the time.
  5. As promised, here is last night's preview concert. This was put together with only five hours of rehearsal with the new band members. Enjoy, and crank it up.
  6. Cedar Park hasn't announced a name yet, but here is the playlist. La Fiesta Mexicana 2,3 Sensamaya Adios Noninos Danzon No. 2 Preview video on the way.
  7. Here's the hi-def links to Cedar Park's prelim performance- and finals performance:
  8. I'm just happy for my daughter and the rest of the Cedar Park Band.
  9. Here's the quick unedited Cedar Park finals performance.
  10. Thanks. Coming from the Dad of one of those trumpet players and the guy who uploads a lot of that video that means a lot. I think the Round Rock show is outstanding this year as well and thought you guys should have finished much higher at Vista Ridge.
  11. Back to the subject at hand, I think Bowie could very well win this. Those kids are going to be marching and playing on pure emotion, and when that happens I think they win, no matter the history of the programs they are competing against. I'm certainly rooting for those kids. They deserve it after what they've been through.
  12. Considering phones shoot 1080p hi def video this rule is going to become impossible to enforce, if it's not already.
  13. I worried about that too, and then heard the lengths they go to, to ensure that it finishes the same length every time they perform the show. There should be between 7 and 9 seconds left every single time. There were 8 left last week. It scares me to watch it run down, but they know what they're doing.
  14. Depending on my phone's battery I'll try to post in here the bands in finals and the final results from Vista Ridge. There should be some interesting results and I am really looking forward to seeing shows I haven't seen yet, like Round Rock's. Should be a fun day.
  15. Bowie will do well in San Antonio and in Atlanta. They have a great show, they sound really good and they have an emotional purpose for this season.
