  8. QUOTE (Trumpet Master @ Jul 7 2006, 12:49 PM) Ok, no need to panic i got some tickets! Don't forget to book a hotel
  9. QUOTE (Danpod @ Jul 5 2006, 08:21 PM) KEEP CHECKING!!!!!!! Michael and I had TERRIBLE seats for last year's show until two weeks before the event. Then, we randomly checked ticket availability on DCI.org. We ended up finding a couple of seats only eight rows up on the 50 yard line!!! Hope is not lost just yet. Ive already ordered my tickets though...
  10. QUOTE (Trumpet Master @ Jul 5 2006, 01:20 PM) Wow, i should really buy my tickets already!!! I can already tell you your not going to get very good seats if thats what you were wanting. I found that out the hard way this year
  11. QUOTE (mbui @ Jul 4 2006, 03:20 AM) So, that makes a total of three assistant directors at L.D. Bell.....Nice! Yeah, we really needed a 4th band too seeing as our 3rd band had about 6 oboes, 17 trumpets, and so on.
  12. QUOTE (VRHSRangerTBone @ Jul 3 2006, 11:14 PM) The baritone solos (and I think there was a horn too) in the SCV 89 dance movement were VERY good though. Nothing wrong with those whatsover. The trumpet ones? Yes, a lot of crackage if you ask me. As for the Blue Devils show? Definitely the worst screw up I've heard in the DCI world. Poor guy. Yeah those were really good. The guy nailed the fluegelhorn solo at least.
  13. Wow they just announced we have yet another new director.
  14. A lot of people i talked to thought they just had a few good years. I guess i meant they finally have a legit shot at top 3.
  15. I'm hearing a loy of positive things about the Boston Crusaders this year and it seems to be showing in their score. Looking forward to their rendition of blue cathedral. And i think its safe to say that the Bluecoats are for real this year.
  16. QUOTE (Xukaniz @ Jul 2 2006, 10:41 PM) Why did the Cavies score go down? Because i wanted it too lol jk, different judges probably. No Vanguard till this coming friday so hopefully they will have a significant improvment at their next competition. *My bad they perform wednesday
  17. That was 82 i believe. I have yet to see a video/hear a recording of that. If anyone has it please pm me
  18. QUOTE (MartinHorn @ Jul 2 2006, 03:49 PM) Have Phantom or SCV yet to get a score of above 80.00? Not yet. I think phantom will very soon though. SCV doesnt compete for a few days so I expect to see a pretty big jump there too.
  19. What happened to the june SOTM
  20. 1 Blue Devils 83.050 2 Santa Clara Vanguard 77.600 3 Blue Knights 75.400 4 Pacific Crest 69.300 5 Mandarins 66.950 6 Esperanza 64.400 7 Seattle Cascades 61.400 Blue devils still ahead of everyone and Vanguard back up to normal. Though the Blue Knights seem awfuly close to Vanguard.
  21. Oh man that has gotta suck. I guess 89 was just the year of bad trumpet solos.
  22. QUOTE (mbui @ Jul 1 2006, 10:17 PM) Saw the Vanguard last week in California... The corps is fine and the show is incredible!! No one is predicting a championship caliber show just yet but after last year's mediocre year....they are heading in the right direction. I expect SCV to be in the thick of things next year. 2006 is just the appetizer..... Thats good to hear, since im probably trying out next year.
  23. Going into area I was actually thinking Haltom would get it. I heard them at their spring concert and it was amazing! If coppel can top that then i would say they almost have a guarunteed win.
  24. QUOTE (MartinHorn @ Jul 1 2006, 05:46 PM) I hear a bit of cracking from the trumpet soloist in SCV 89. A bit? understatement of the century if you ask me. Those solos were awful. Maybe it was nerve or maybe he just had a bad day, who knows.
  25. Just ordered my tickets yestarday. Section 115 row 20
