Our band directors gave us a DVD my sophmore year with BD 97, SCV 98, and Cavies 02 on it. I ended up liking SCV the best and I've been a fan since.

No offense to Pioneer but they dont have the greatest show out there, but they still got a standing O tonight. Cadets didnt, unless you count like 20 people out of 500 and me screaming my head off a standing ovation....

I really didnt have a good experience this year at SA as far as finals goes. Sitting on the 40 3 rows up was nice though. Lunch sure was great though

Great hornline, great guard, great drumline, great execution from all sections. I cant ask for much more. I say screw the fact that people dont like there show and applaud the kids for busting their butts for 12 hours a day the past 2 months.

Everyone at this show got a standing ovation, EVERYONE (even Pioneer) but the Cadets. George Hopkins looked kind of pissed. I know cuz i got to stand like 5 feet away from him in the press box! I honestly do not know how the Bluecoats beat the Cadets at this one. the cadets where just better performance wise tonight> Im pretty confused now because when caps lock is on its in lower case but when its off EVERYTHING IS UPPER CASED> WTF IS GIONG ON

Me and a friend in Section 115, row 31, seat 20-23. Not nearly as good as my seats last year on the 50 but im still pretty happy to be going. Anyone know who is doing encore?

Oh man i wouldve paid extra for that encore. They played excerpts from 89, 03, and topped it off with Elsa's procession the the cathedral.

Heck yes Vanguard. Dan potter announced those scores at Dallas and I lost it. Speaking of Dallas, IT WAS AWSOME!!! Phantom Regiment was my favorite show tonight, such an amazing sound. Their encore was so beatiful.

Up WHY ARE WE YELLING?

I just got back from the Cavaliers rehersal at birdville and surpisingly, I liked what I saw. First and foremost the visual package is amazing. Nonstop drill, some very innovative visuals and guard work. I was pretty surpised when i heard them play too. Big improvment over last year. I think the music book in general is just superior to last years. I even found myself laughing during certain parts of the show. One part the "machine" was broken and was fixed by a guard member smacking a trumpet player in the head. I also heard that they still have an enitre section of the show left to learn from a pit member. Now for the bad. Drumline, needs some cleaning up. I dont even play the drums and I could tell. Lead trumpets tended to really screw up some major chords in the ballad. Other than that lots of potential and almost a guaranteed top 3 finish.
