-Great Staff -Phenominial Student Leaders -More than qualified Techs -Wonderful Private Lesson Staff -Phenominial Drumline/Instructor -Good 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and Middle School bands -School and District Administration (This important for the reason that if you dont have the support and funding to run--you are screwed) -And the most important key to being "good": is to just have fun. If you are not having fun, then (in my opinion) why are you doing it?

Thank god graduation is less than a month away.

While you are entitled to your opinion, I do not find it funny. That show put them on the map. Their use of electronics (and its success) probably allowed for the Cadets and Bluecoats to do what they did this year. When you think of Crown, you think of two things: their brass line and Bohemian Rhapsody.

There is already a thread started on this subject. Here is a link: 2006 Marching Shows -
If you have seen the show before. I am sort of glad that I did not go (it not like I could have anyways--came back from a music festival and then went to School Board meeting to help a friend). It seems like it was different from last year. Less crowd reaction and such. But hey...the DVD is out.

Thanks Xenon for the webiste and Bell for the other two pieces. -
I really hate when that happens. "Hey 'insert a random name'---do you like the band Bluecoats? I really loved when the band did the drumspeak!"

2006 MARCHING SHOWS
euro_euph06 replied to Aegis Fang's topic in Everything Music: Marching, Concert, Auditions and more
Just out of curiosity: If you were so good, then why haven't you published any of them? I mean, if I was "darn good" as you put it, I would have started to publish them. I went to try and listen to them, but none of them are accessible. But I can guess, through logical deduction, that none of them are playable due to the woodwind technique being too difficult and the brass register too high. Plus high tempo equals less clarity. My school marches 4 baris and 4 tenors plus 2-3 bass trombones. So people do march them . I am going to disagree with that statement for the reason you have not a single college to your name. You lack credibility-duh. Don't you love when a student questions a band directors taste in music. I am guessing that since you called him conservative because you disliked him. But once again, he has a college degree and you dont. Therefore, no points for you . I think Travis was trying to say that as of right now he has more money and experience than you. Hence he does! Once again, your shows are deleted--so I cant listen to them. And darn--you are so conceited. But ya---what has your band done to stand out from the rest? Most people complain about shows for the simple reason they can't play them. Plus Travis never mentioned you or your bands name: It seems that your beef should be with someone else then with Poulan.
