we got knocked out first week of play offs against Rockwall Heath.

May I remind you of your BRILLIANT statement in Theory the other day when we were covering 3rd Species Counterpoint that Dr. Schwarz pretty much fell in love with? lol.

part of it was our ensemble audition music for the fall semester at UNT, so I've sorta looked at some of it. Either way I'm excited.

Our Symphony Orchestra is playing "Scheherazade" at the concert on Wednesday!!!

So... hypothetically speaking... what if they don't apologize? really, what could they do?

So just recently (like a few minutes ago) I spent over an HOUR AND A HALF! trying to figure out how to analyze this insane Bach Chorale for Music Theory with Nancy08. DANNNGGGG. She's wayyy smart. =]

They had Zeus out at UIL too...

yah, when we do harmonic dictation, we just hafta get the bass and treble note, but we hafta write down the chord and it's inversion. After that though, we usually hafta part write the alto/tenor line for homework.

Centennial went 8-2 this years and is in playoff for our first time in HISTORY! Yay! I have no clue what UNT is... 1-9?

HOLY POO!!! SYMPHONY IN Bb!?!?!? That's intimidatingly hard.

So who's playing what this year??? From my understanding, Centennial has Russian Christmas Music, Sketches on a Tudor Psalm and Watchmen Tell Us of the Night on the list so far... how about ya'll??? ESPECIALLY 4a Honor band programs... I'm curious. =]

I had like 10 different kids come up to me congratulating my band on making finals... I was like "Wtf!?" Then I realized both Cedar Park and UNT have green and black uniforms....

I don't remember who it was then... I just remember hearing about it. I'm pretty sure it was a band that I had placed in Finals on my predictions... any ideas?

haha, are we making this an Olympic sport now? I heard that I think it was Reagan had a massive fall during prelims at state? this true?

OH! I totally saw that guy! I was sitting right next to him, and when the drum line finished, he like, went CRAZY trying to get us out of the stadium. I was upset a little, cus I really wanted to hear the results.

Yah, I heard that too... lol. Oh well, it's not like we could change time... And what's this about 5A state 2002?

Response (in order they were presented): 1. I noticed that too when my friend told me Prelims results. I found it highly ironic. 2. Haha, cute. But I noticed the birds too... I thought I was going crazy and was the only person that heard them. 3. Hebron's show was great! The eye thing creeeeppppped me out though! I felt like I was always being watched. lol. 4. The echo in the dome was such a killer when Centennial went to state last year. We weren't expecting that at all, so when we were performing at exhibition, I made sure to watch like crazy!! 5. Bohemian Rhapsody actually wasn't even part of that show originally. We just hadn't learned the original 3rd movement in time, so we replaced it with BR which we had done at a few football games earlier this year. Glad you liked it.

I'm actually quite in love with potential Honor Band Pieces from Centennial... Won't say what they are, cus I'm not totally for sure, but it looks like our director is showing off our french horn section, which has matured a lot over the years. I think Southwest has quite a good chance of competing for Honor Band, as well as Timberview, assuming both band record.

So I wasn't the only one who was curious about the sound? Like I was thinking that it was the fact that the brass was on the other side of the field from me, but I guess not. I LOVED Bell's show though. ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT! I just wish I had been able to see all 5 movements. I was only able to see Hebron and Bell at Finals, but I was impressed with both. From what I remember of Marcus, I enjoyed their show, and I am happy to see the results turn out the way they did. I feel like a I'm stuck between a rock in a hard place with those two shows though, because I loved both for separate aspects. ANDDDD... Just curious.... What'd everybody think of the Green Brigade???
