  1. Sooo….What is everyones favorite Thanksgiving food🥀🫩
  2. OK, after intentionally observing both Cedar Park and Rouse…I think visually, Rouse wins the head to head. Despite the prelims captions, as far as finals runs go. Music goes to Cedar Park but marginally. I would argue some of the bands that will place below both of these groups would have a greater degree of GE, but thats personal opinion. So this is strictly a UIL comparison for Monday and Tuesday. Interested to see how the judges interpret this.
  3. Currently watching Vistas finals run. I think my only personal disagreement with prelims results is having Vista bottom half. While there are some visual inconsistencies, this is top 3 brass IMO.
  4. Finals Schedule: 7:00 - Wharton 7:15 - Iowa Colony 7:30 - Cypress Springs 7:45 - Magnolia 8:00 - Klein Forrest 8:15 - BREAK 8:30 - Cypress Park 8:45 - Spring 9:00 - Oak Ridge 9:15 - Klein 9:30 - Jordan
  5. Thoughts Before Finals Wow. Really nothing absolutely surprising here. For FM vs Hebron & Cedar Park vs Rouse, I think we still need to wait until finals once the judging panel is consistent to make any assumptions here. However, Hebron winning GE was not on my bingo card. Visual, I feel there could be an argument there, but I think music in Hebron's prelims run wasn't their best of the year, and I feel GE will end with Flower Mound. With 5A state being in a few days, this Rouse / Cedar Park battle could be closer than ever, but I try to not let BOA influence my thoughts on UIL competitions. Super stoked to get to see Keller one more time, this has been one of my favorites of the season, and I am so glad they made it into finals. Wakeland beating Leander👀Again, BOA vs UIL, but another race that I feel will be close for the 5A state Bronze medal. Bridgeland in finals, after missing state finals by a few places! Interested to see where their area rival, Seven Lakes, ended up, since I see that being fairly close. UIL 6A area D is an absolute tank, having 4 of the 5 state advancers in BOA SA finals, and CTJ, Bowie, RR & WC having extremely good performances as well. Argyle looks strong as well for their state appearance next week, winning the AA division. Excited for finals! Great job everyone!

  13. Awards Presentation has started! Good luck to all these bands! Great prelims performances from everyone here.
  14. Seems not, I am on the BOX5 stream and the background of the commentators has nobody on the field ATP.
  15. [Predictions] Block #7 Top 3 (Panel 1?) 1. Flower Mound 2. Dripping Springs 3. Wakeland I have Cedar Ridge ranked in their original block, my opinion remains unchanged. I think Dripping Springs had a good showing today. This is right around bubble area IMO and at this current moment I would have Wakeland the spot under DS. Wakeland vs Leander also feels close, Leander seems like they have the edge in GE, but I think overall I still take Wakeland. Flower Mound is primed to win this whole thing, I really hope they have a good showing in Indy, I would love to see the Eagle come back to Texas.
  16. [Predictions] Block #6 Top 3 (Panel 2?) 1. Hebron 2. Pearland 3. Seven Lakes Since the schedule seems collapsed and there is no more break, I'm just going to continue running under the assumption that nothing has changed and rank the bands in their initial blocks. There were so many bands in this block that had a really strong showing, and you could make the argument for a few to be top 3 in this block, but I think I give the edge to Seven Lakes. Hebron seemed slightly off, but this might just be a result of the Box5 mic/speaker setup, so if anyone at this contest has an opinion, would be interested in what you have to say. Dawson is my initial pick for 4th in this block.
  17. Schedule for Prelims of this contest: 9:00 - Munday 9:15 - Irion County 9:30 - D'Hanis 9:45 - Cross Plains 10:00 - Claude 10:15 - Happy 10:30 - Water Valley - BREAK - 11:00 - Baird 11:15 - O'Donnell 11:30 - Knox City 11:45 - Petersburg 12:00 - Leakey 12:15 - Menard 12:30 - Runge
  18. They just finished. I think that was definitely their strongest run of the year. Musically great run, and I think it was about at visually tight as their area run.
  19. Everyone in block #6 has been incredible. McKinney has some serious brass power, especially during the Hindemith Marsch!
  20. Current New Schedule for Block #6 10:15 AM – Hebron HS 10:30 AM – Pearland HS 10:45 AM – Cy-Fair HS 11:00 AM – Friendswood HS 11:15 AM – McKinney HS 11:30 AM – Seven Lakes HS 11:45 AM – Dawson HS 12:00 PM – Waller HS 12:15 PM – Conroe HS 12:30 PM – Magnolia West HS 12:45 PM – Cypress Woods HS 1:00 PM – Wylie HS
  21. Good morning BOA! Excited for day 2! Missed all of block 5, so Im going with what I had prior to today for predictions. Unsure if this delay for CR pushes them to another panel or not. Seems like we are in an unscheduled break as of now, since Hebron was slated to preform.
