I had to rewatch Bell's show today because I found out that after the girl in the yellow is done and girl in the white comes out, the singing isn't done by a mic'd soloist, it's the entire band singing. Knowing that and watching the video makes a huge difference. I can't imagine what it must've sounded like in person. Also, I heard that the time limit each band at BOA gets is 11 minutes. If that 11 minutes starts as soon as the announcer finishes announcing your band and ends as soon as your band name is announced at the end of your show, then L.D. Bell used up exactly 11 minutes. The timing on their show was impeccable.

In both 4A and 5A. I think I'll plan to go to the Area B finals next year. It'll be one stacked competition.

As far as I know, the girl was only sleeping. The way she puts her hands on the side of her head seems to express that as well. But I have heard someone say that some kids from the band said that the girl goes to sleep at the end of the show.

Haha, I can see it now. "I think he's dead." *points at timid little student* "You! Go drag his body to the sidelines and fill his hole. NOW!!"

Awesome and crazy. There'd be some dead kids by the end of the show.

I remember one of my directors telling us a story like that. Our head director is similar sometimes. Our traditional warm up is playing the Bb up F and back down in quarter notes followed by a whole note. Sometimes our director will stop us in the middle of the warm up to talk to us about our playing. It drives me nuts.

We had 97 sets for a six and a half minute show.

Man, that's just amazing. I was looking at some band's schedule. I think it may have been PCEP but I'm not sure. They have three hour practices about every day and long practices almost every available practice. Compare that to L.D. Bell and The Woodlands and the other GN Texas bands and you would think they would dominate. But Bell proves to us that Texas bands can do just fine even with the eight hour rule. They just have to work harder.

I just saw Adair's performance online. I think I have to add them to my list. For a Class A band, they did amazing.

I don't foresee another trilogy. I am, however, sure that whatever they do, it'll be nothing short of amazing.

Man, I'm surprised Ayala didn't make finals. The video's low quality but it's clear that they're a very good band.

Bell's show was my favorite this year and one of my favorite shows of all time. After them, I really liked Churchill, The Woodlands, Avon, and Marcus. I missed seeing Ayala. I was hoping they would make finals so I could see them. Oh well.

Looks like Broken Arrow changed back to their two-toned uniforms for the finals results. No idea why.

Well, Carmel is done. It'll soon be time for results. I'm really pulling for Bell to win but I think Avon or Carmel might take it.
