I don’t know if I’d see Paetow or Mayde Creek placing that high against some of our other groups.

I agree with this, I think 10th will be a fight between Katy/Langham Creek, cypress park could possibly do something here though..👀(pun intended)

True, but I wasn’t expecting Mayde Creek to place ahead of them, then again, Mayde Creek has made some INCREDIBLE improvements.

If there is ONE thing you can ALWAYS count on at a bands of America regional contest in Texas, it’s that darn wave. At this point it’s, More guaranteed to happen then cedar ridge making finals(not a dig at cedar ridge)with the amount of waves I seen at each BOA 😂

Just something else to point out, one of the judges here (D. Brandon) was an area I judge last year. Sooooo..🤔

Honestly, I saw Langham Creek getting 5th, but it’s William B. Travis, that’s a very strong program.

Unless they had a massive tear and the woodwinds finished 3 minutes before the brass and the brass were in the ballad still, then I see it happening.

Bridgeland barely misses top 5 and I enter the contest MYSELF and win all captions besides general effect..

Cinco Ranch has some issues as far as visual cleanliness goes IMO. looking at our predictions, you can see how we all each have something different about the placement of each band and such(no Bridgeland, Not you). And it just makes me think of how the judging panel could look, it’s cool to see how even the way that works it sort’ve reflected here. now itd be very interesting to see tubapop, ruben_f, clamp, sideswiperr, 11bandman11, judging a contest and to look at those recaps 😂

I knew a judge had tanked their score once I saw prelims results.

My new predictions are: 1. Bridgeland 2. Cy-Woods 3. Cy-Fair 4. Jordan 5. Cinco Ranch 6. Seven Lakes 7. Tompkins 8. Cypress Ranch 9. JET 10. Langham Creek

True, it all comes to who can get the cleanest and have the most”pop/shine”.

But the trip would be appreciated every once and a while you know?

Just to add my thoughts on the other posters predictions, I thought they were fair. You could also switch up the rankings a bit. Jersey Village might have a say? Now, I don’t think JV is really “at” the level of the finalist bubbles of Ranch, Langham, Parks, Paetow, but they are still a bubble! I think they are taking things easy as of now which is always good thing.

Langham Creek has always done better in UIL historically compared to BOA, in the mid 2000s while them and Cypress Falls were dominating kinda along with Cy-Fair, Cypress Falls would consistently place in finals/fairly high with langham creek doing so but either placing a lot lower, or a just being a few spots out of finals. Then, at UIL Area Langham Creek would win consistently with cy-falls a few spots behind, langham being a UIL state finalist with falls being quite a few out, so it’s just interesting to see how these things are still a bit accurate even today.

Maybe/Maybe not, Cinco Ranch is getting stronger but they’ve got some visual dirt which I think seems to be their weakness and could potentially cut them down a rank or so. Truly though, it all depends on the panel.

William B. Travis could make a statement here, excited to see how Jersey Village does relative to some of our other bubble bands!
