  1. The Top/Bottom draw for area is starting to take effect in 2024. UIL marching band committee just approved it this past winter.
  2. Remember though, finals is a top half/bottom half draw, So, if Foster places into the top 5 in prelims (not impossible) then they’ll go on 6th in Finals.
  3. That last movement looked to be thrown on this week. Part of their cleanliness seems to come from some easier drill. Quite a bit of standing on yardlines and directly inbetween. I really hope their closer comes out with some spice. They do sound very good.

  16. TMEA 6A State Semi-Finals will take place at a high school in the San Antonio area on Wednesday, July 24th. The 22 competing bands will be split into 2 rooms of 11 bands. The top 5 bands from each room will advance to the state finals round taking place on Thursday, July 25th at the Texas Bandmasters Association annual convention.

  22. Important to note that Menard is on their second director change since they won state in 2021. Last year they were unable to even field a show... Incredible.
  23. UIL has the wrong system on their website. They are working to get that fixed now.
  24. They will be 5A next year as they will have 4 complete grade levels in 2024. Right now they have freshman, sophomores, juniors and SOME seniors.
  25. Panther Creek doesn't even have senior in their school and they got 3rd in State prelims. What. The. Heck.
