Good job to VA who kicked off finals. Good marching, good visuals, a few lines were off here and there. Probably could have done more visuals and left 90 seconds on the clock. Was expecting more.

The first 6 to play are 7th -12th in some random order and the last 6 are 1st -6th in some random order. Gonna be real hard for a bottom half to crack the Top 6

Very tough today. Some very promising schools in the Bottom Draw tonight that will go home disappointed.

Anyone got final performance order yet? I am on my way to watch Finals

Wish I could get to see everyone but I have errands to run all day. Gonna try and make it for Finals.

I think Pine Tree is a pretty good location. They have hosted marching events before. I don't know if they are ready for the mass insanity tomorrow. I don't think their parking lot for fans is big enough for what I think is coming. Pine Tree is also on the Southwest side of Longview where as the contest in Lindale is smack dab in the middle of town that is dealing with road construction. Not many schools will benefit from the move though. Yes, Pine Tree will not have to travel and I think North Lamar/Paris/PG will have a shorter trip but that is it. Celina/Wills Point/Caddo Mills/Community/Van Alstyne/Canton/Mabank/Sunnyvale/Quinlan Ford/Sulphur Springs will have to drive an extra 45 minutes to Pine Tree.

Do you have a draw list for 3A State?

Most people don't know that, they just think all the judges are judging the same thing.

That's my thought as well. I was planning on going to watch but don't know why a schedule has not came out yet. All the other 3A Area schedules were posted by last Thursday. Maybe someone with a connection knows why.....

Looks like they made a good decision in moving the contest. The rain stopped around 7AM and was misting until around 930 and the rain went away and the sun came out throughout the day until the rain came back in around 530 and rained until almost 9. If the contest would have went on then it would have probably been prelims only.

Just heard that 2A Area C in Mineola (just north of Lindale) is still on for tomorrow.

It is official 4A Area C will be Monday at Pine Tree HS in Longview. Area C has updated their website to reflect it.

I must of missed it. I reached out to a few people I know and still no word yet but mentioned the possibility of that.

Rumor going around that 4A Area C is considering moving to Monday at Pine Tree HS in Longview.

A director sees that and tell the kids "call time at 6AM"

Something will probably have to change 4A Area C (Lindale) and 2A Area C (Mineola) both have "if inclement weather" on the same day 10/25 at Lindale in the indoor practice facility. So, if weather causes a problem somebody will have to be moved. The best solution to the problem would be to move everything to Sunday. The forecast is mostly sunny with 73 as a high. Yes, this might cause students to get home late Sunday night but this would be a better option then Monday where the negatives outweigh the positives.

I want to be positive but it's not looking good for Saturday. Yes, some of the models for Area C are showing a line of storms late Friday night and should clear around 9am Saturday but then throughout the day there is going to wave after wave of storms coming across as an upper Low is going to be dragging across the State throughout the day with it finally passing through towards the end of the day on Saturday. Sunday looks to be fine.

27 Total Bands Qualify for Area C 19 Open and 8 Military 19 Bands will be competing for 5 Spots to State. Last year there were 18 Bands that competed for 6 Spots that went to 1. Mineola 2.
