  1. I guess New Waverly didn't show up. Typically if a band doesn't show up they are scored a N/A but everyone else has performed so if that is the case then no bands from Region 9 qualified for Area.
  2. Only results I can find are Region 9. For some odd reason the Region 3 results are not being posted to the website.
  3. Tarkington was a 3A last year and missed out on going to state.
  4. Yup, it's been that way for a while and this weekend Area C AAA in Whitehouse is going to be a mini-SMC as well with several schools favored to be in the SMC Finals.
  5. I have not seen one floating around anywhere. A good majority of the time the only people that see those are directors of the bands that compete. Once the directors get the results it is their choice to share it or not which some do and some don't.
  6. If a total of 30 bands qualified for Area (military or not) then you would have 12 advancing to Area Finals and 6 advancing to State. If 35 bands qualified for Area then 12 would still advance to Finals and 7 would advance to state. You get 1 state band for every 5 in Area.
  7. I would bet that directors would get a schedule either later today or tomorrow (Monday) at the latest.
  8. I have heard that Whitesboro has fallen a bit since last year. I know they got beat by Mineola at Princeton and got beat by Commerce at BOA Prosper.
  9. My guess is they didn't march. I just went to their Facebook page and it only looks like they might have 25 kids in their band for a 3A school.
  10. UIL has them listed in Region 30. However, I went to the Region 30 Official Marching Contest Results and they are not listed. I am not sure. Maybe, they didn't march this year.
  11. As of right now 10/19 27 bands have qualified for Area C. However, because 8 of them are military and get an automatic advancement to state but their number still counts for Area. Region 3 (8 bands) will perform on Tuesday 10/22 Region 9 (2 bands) will perform on Tuesday 10/22 If Area C can get 3 more bands to qualify then 12 bands will make finals and 6 will go to State.
  12. Region 21 3A Results Arp - 1 (Advances to Area) Crockett - 2 Diboll - 1 (Advances to Area) Huntington - 2 Tatum - 1 (Advances to Area) Troup - 1 (Advances to Area) West Rusk - 1 (Advances to State as Military, Counts towards Area) Winona - 2
  13. Region 10 3A Results Anahuac - 1 (Advances to Area) Buma - 1 (Advances to Area) East Chambers - 1 (Advances to Area) Hardin - 2 Kirbyville - 1 (Advances to Area) Kountze - 1 (Advances to Area) Orangefield - 1 (Advances to Area) Woodville - 2
  14. Area B October 26th in Denton, TX 19 Bands Qualified - 7 Bands will make the Finals - 3 Bands will go to State Note: If 1 more band would have qualified then 10 Bands would have made Finals and 4 would have gone to State) Region 2 (Bowie/Boyd/Pilot Point/Ponder) Region 7 (Breckenridge/City View/Comanche/Dublin/Henrietta/Holiday/Iowa Park/Jacksboro/Milsap) Region 25 (Bells/Howe/Pottsboro/Whitesboro) Region 30 (Grandview/Tolar)
  15. Region 7 3A Results Breckenridge - 1 (Advances to Area) City View - 1 (Advances to Area) Comanche - 1 (Advances to Area) Dublin - 1 (Advances to Area) Early - 2 Eastland - 2 Henrietta - 1 (Advances to Area) Holiday - 1 (Advances to Area) Iowa Park - 1 (Advances to Area) Jacksboro - 1 (Advances to Area) Milsap - 1 (Advances to Area) Vernon - 2
  16. Region 25 3A Results Bells - 1 (Advances to Area) Blue Ridge - 2 Gunter - 2 Howe - 1 (Advances to Area) Leonard - 2 Pottsboro - 1 (Advances to Area) S&S - 2 Whitesboro - 1 (Advances to Area)
  17. Region 30 3A Results Grandview - 1 (Advances to Area) Maypearl - 2 Peaster - 2 Tolar = 1 (Advances to Area)
  18. Region 2 3A Results Bowie - 1 (advances to Area) Boyd - 1 (advances to Area) Callisburg - 2 Paradise - 2 Pilot Point - 1 (advances to Area) Ponder -1 (advances to Area) Valley View - 3
  19. In Region 9 Shepherd and Tarkington went to 4A. Trinity is competing as Non-Varsity and New Waverly is a new 3A to the Region. Region 3 Kemp went to 4A this year. Region 10 Warren is no longer in the region. Region 21 Hemphill went down to 2A
  20. I agree with you, the race is very tight. I know Redwater marched without props, Mineola didn't use some of their props and had a few things they didn't do and Atlanta has a very good show. If you go back and look at several of the State Finals in 3A over the years a good majority of the finalists are from this area.
  21. I wish Mineola would have gone to this, it would have been nice to see the big 3A bands all going against each other.
  22. Yup, a lot of it depends on how many bands get 1's and advance to Area.
  23. Farmersville has been 4A for many years. The get to Area but never seem to make it to State because the 4A Area they are in is just brutal. However, I think their show has a chance. They have won overall 1st in 2 competitions this year and have gotten 2nd in 2 others. The sax solo in the show is very moving and full of emotion.
  24. As for me, I typically find myself at a competition every weekend and go to several district/area competitions as well. When you live in East Texas like I do you pretty much know quite a bit about many of the 3A/4A bands because this area is where a good majority of the state level schools come from. I'm not really a big fan of going to BOA contests because it's just a different kind of animal.
