  9. I think it's very interesting that both HEB shows are themed to color. I wonder where they will go with this...
  10. Yeah I was just about to say that the contest could've been held at Prosper or Mckinney. It's good for region contests as bands usually just come, perform, and leave while for an area contest, it isn't the best. I believe this is why they stopped having the 5A area B contests here as they been stadium surfing between Prosper, Mckinney, and Melissa stadiums. But I think they've officially found their spot.
  11. Well it appears here that this contest maybe held at Little Elm rather than Melissa. Kinda disappointed because this is a downgrade in anything (not to say that this is a bad stadium in any way) but it's just that Melissa's stadium is bigger and newer that Little Elm's. But geographically it does make sense now that it is closer to majority of schools in this area. Anyways, here is the source: https://www.instagram.com/p/C6VB8a7sswX/?igsh=MWJyNWN0enVwaWlscQ==
  12. Kaufman is 5A now so they won't be competing here.
  13. Per Region 24's recommended dates for next year, it appears that this contest will be held at Melissa's stadium. Interesting that they would go with a venue of another school that isn't even competing. I figured that they would've just went with Prosper or McKinley stadium due to shorter distance, but I guess this is also a fine stadium as well (5A Area B is being held here again after bouncing from stadium to stadium the last several years)
  14. North Forney just revealed theirs today.
  15. Good list, but Southwest is actually in Ft Worth, not Frisco.
  16. Bro I just realized that I typed in "Madrid" but I meant to say "made". Darn it auto correct 😭😭😭 but I do get your point with Highland Park though.
  17. True. Lakeview Madrid finals last year in arguably the hardest area in 6A and I personally see them winning it all this year here.
  18. We actually will only have 4 bands to state because you need need at least 25 bands to send 5. Since there's only 23, there will only be 4 to state. And another thing i have observed is that some bands that missed finals last year would make it this year, for instance, Lake Ridge, Trinity and Legacy. Here would be the results of this "modified" area based on last year's results: 1. Coppell** 2. LD Bell** 3. Timber Creek** 4. Keller** 5. Haltom* 6. Southlake Carroll* 7. Keller Central* 8. Lake Ridge* 9. Trinity* 10. Legacy* 11. Boswell 12. Mansfield 13. South Grand Prairie 14. Martin 15. North Crowley 16. Crowley 17. Arlington 18. Weatherford 19. Bowie 20. Cedar Hill 21. Grand Prairie
  19. So I know that Adamson, Jefferson, Molina, Samuell and South Oak Cliff were NV last year, and Spruce did not participate but they did in 2022. I'm not sure if they will opt out again this year though, and I know that Singley and Seagoville have never participated and I don't think Oak Cliff Faith Family Academy will participate either. So keeping this in mind, there will most likely be 27 varsity bands in this area with a maximum of 10 finalists and 5 state advancers but will probably still only send 4.
