  1. Off topic here but could a college competitive circuit work theoretically I think it was tried once before
  2. I think the band with the better regional economy based on its hometown should win oh wait
  3. I’m guessing Argyle the best in the Alamodome won all of prelims
  4. Oh fosters moving down?? Is Fulshear too or all I know is that there a lot of schools moving down in this area unfortunately we might have nearly 25 next year College Station and Barbers are moving up maybe which is exciting
  5. The band with the biggest props should of won obviously we need a prop caption
  6. It was also Rockwall Heath’s first state appearance very great for them. Dripping and Prosper had awesome performances Every student was able to create memories and further their music education today and in the end that’s all that matters
  7. Two years in a row is an understatement even in 2021 they got 6th in percussion. We all know it’s a weakness in Hebron. Of course Hebron’s percussion is still far superior than most in the state but not on a state champion level that they should strive to work towards.
  8. Hebron needed to get 5th in percussion to win BTW that’s insane they just can’t ever get a high score in it
  9. I feel like the judges really just focus on getting the 10 to finals and then judge more accurately after that. That’s why it’s always kinda weird results
  10. Yeah I got u Dobie 24 woodwind 25 brass 21 percussion 21 visual 23 visual Manvel 19 woodwind 26 brass 23 percussion 25 visual 16 visual
  11. La Porte hasn’t made state since 1990, this would be huge for them!
  12. Any hope for Dawson? They did beat Pearland in brass at Area Finals but that’s pretty much it
  13. As somebody said it’s supposed to be all over the place due to the new sheet BUT that only applies for brass woodwinds and percussion I understand if a band has bad percussion and good brass and there’s a difference Though for PM the visual judges judging the same thing had very different outlooks on the same band 21 to 12 is a large difference. That 6 and 10 would of carried them to finals if the 21 didn’t kick them out, the minimum number PM needed by that judge was 16
  14. UIL hasn’t posted the public results for our Area quite yet
  15. CLEMENTS MAKES STATE FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE 2021 WWWW
  16. Yeah Pearland is cooking ngl it might be over Dawson
  17. This is a FACTUAL statement thank you Oboeish20 I’m tripping basically about the scores
  18. Not publicly but after Pearland is done here and results are announced then we can see it also darn DAWSON is so fire but let’s see what Pearland does here They are actually FR neck and neck from prelims scores it could go either way
  19. The brass judge put Brook and Austin in the same placement which isn’t supposed to happen but can. and some of the bands had odd scores like 8,5,17,7,12 But I think I was too exaggerate because this is an every year thing I think this is the correct finals bands absolutely (well except foster). I just hope we can get more consistency here in finals
  20. I just saw the full prelims recap and this is outrageous. First off congratulations to all the students who performed today, I’m so glad you were able to further your music education and make memories for a lifetime. One of the judges broke a rule and put a tie in between two bands in his scoring, and pretty much scoring was all over the place. Was this the 10 we needed to finals? Pretty much kind of. The order though is questionable. The percussion judge I commend for his scores being the most accurate.
  21. I heard a tear in PMs beginning but it was super clean the rest of the show
  22. Elkins my beloved performed so well they MIGHT win the area today
  23. If you switch the mighty Elkins band to first place I would totally agree with this prediction
  24. I’m pretty sure it’s just highcam right no multi cam?
