guess what's back With the 2023 Marching Contest season beginning in less than a month, I thought it would be finally time to bring back this topic for the 2023 season. Here you can talk with everyone about results from a contest that you attended for UIL Region and so we can also take the time to congratulate all bands who advance on to the Area contest, and to all 1A bands who advance on to State. This will also allow us to congratulate all Military Style bands that advance on to the State Military Marching Contest. Can't wait for the season to begin!

Has anyone gotten the chance to see any of the Area C bands perform last week? Or getting to see them this week?

The Woodlands will most likely win this Area contest. I would really like to see Spring or North Shore return to State. Maybe we could see a new band in finals?

I like your predictions! But I feel we will see Wakeland in the top 3. And Rouse has been showing much improvement over the years that 2nd place could happen again. I feel that Wakeland could have a chance to knock Cedar out of their winning streak, but we will have to wait and see.

it would be cool to see Georgetown return!

i meant to say Area Finals XD. But now I'm keeping them as the dark horse of the group.

I could see Plano Sr. making it to state, will be interesting though to see if Braswell can make a return to finals again. Their show last year was really good imo!

I feel that once Forney moves up, there should be a change to this area to help with the contest some.

I think that Forney and Poteet will make it. For the third band, it could be anyone.

Haven't been able to watch any full shows, but I'm really excited to see how Pacific Crest is doing this year! Hoping they can make it into the finals spot at DCI World Championships!

being a former band student of Melissa myself, I could see them placing within the top 5 at Area, but due to the how well Wakeland, Lone Star, McKinney North, etc.. perform, it could be a bit more difficult. Can't wait to see how ya'll do though!

When did Santa Clara do a show? They aren't competing this year if I remember right. But I agree with everything you said!

Melissa High School has announced what their show is called for the 2023 season, just nothing else.

some exciting news is that the Teague Marching Contest has been confirmed by the director of bands and will be updated as new information comes out about the contest!
