Berkner HS- First off, Its About Time is probably one of the best titles for a show, since they haven't been to state in 7 years 😆. The musical selections were REALLY GOOD! I really liked the Tuba Solo! Visuals were really nice. I like how they have one area for the props, allowing the band to move more around the field. I really liked the fact that they used some music from Danny Elfman, who has some really amazing work for sure! I'm trying to remember the song in the ballad, but can't seem to remember the name. Overall, I really enjoyed the performance and a BIG congratulations again to Berkner HS on advancing back to the State Marching Contest!!!

Dawson HS- I really enjoyed the show. I didn't get to really enjoy it because I got distracted with stuff, but musically, I really enjoyed it! From what I did see, the visual's were good! The flute solo in the 2nd movement was really cool! Did get to see the ending, which WAS REALLY COOL! Overall, thank you for a great performance Dawson HS!

Westwood HS- After a 3rd place finish at the BOA St. Louis Regional, the Westwood HS Band brings Birds on a Wire to San Antonio! Welcome back to the State Marching Contest Westwood!!! Of course everyone already knows this, but the Music selection for their show is SUPER GOOD! The visuals came together nicely for their run! I feel like I have said this for every band I have seen today, but the Ballad came out really good tonight! I truly want to see them advance to finals this year! Thank you for the EPIC performance Westwood HS!!!!!

Keller HS- That Opener was giving me Duncanville 2010 vibes, and I'm all for it! The big ballad visual looked SO CLEAN! I really enjoyed the musical package, and really like the fact that they utilized the entire field. They had one moment that used High Leg marching that was really interesting to see. The closer was so good as well! Overall, an amazing performance from Keller HS and I hope we get to see them in finals after that run! Thank you Keller HS for the AMAZING performance!

Hebron HS- WOW! This was my first time this season seeing Hebron HS and I'm left speechless after that performance! They are looking to get another medal added to the collection! Great visuals, great music, a State medalist this year for sure! Thank you again for the amazing performance!

Seven Lakes HS- HELLO Seven Lakes!! The musical package for this show is amazing! The ballad is very clean and was put together very nicely! The closer is AMAZING and I also have to say the flute solo was really great! I really enjoyed the show overall and hope they place very well!

My favorite shows from today that I did get to see (so far)- Bridgeland HS and Westlake HS!

Flower Mound HS- HELLO FLOWER MOUND! The music is really good! They played it very well and with great power! The visual package was great as well! As they say, it was really, creative :). Hearing Let it B again was interesting. Plano East HS had it in their show last year. I like that it was used as a ballad feature! I have to mention the use of mirror props was cool, not something you see every year. That ending WAS AWESOME! Overall, a great run from Flo-Mo! Could see them in the top 5! Thank you Flower Mound for the amazing performance!

I haven't even seen Flower Mounds show yet, and the props really caught my eyes, I'm ready to see what they have in store!

Marcus HS- I felt disappointed their wasn't a bigger hit in the beginning . The music though is REALLY GOOD. Visual's are really clean and make the show fun to watch! A quad feature is something I wasn't expecting XD. Each hit was full of power and sounds very clean! I also want to say I love how their use of props is very unique! Overall, thank you Marcus for the AMAZING performance!

Bridgeland- The opener music is Beautiful! Takes me back to the first time I heard this band back in 2020. Amazing sound on the big hit! The visuals are AMAZING! I have nothing else to say on that :). The ballad is great! As they say, Flowers Bloom, so does hope! Thank you for the AMAZING performance today! I hope we get to see them again in Finals!

completely forgot about those 2 XD. Could also say PSJA since they sent 2 schools, and Paris ISD sent Paris HS and North Lamar.

Westlake- That pre-opener was really good! The music that the front ensemble played was really beautiful! The Ballad, gave me chills! Yes to the tuba feature! And can I just say that I legit had tears, I don't know why but the music truly one of the best I have heard this year! Thank you Westlake for a spectacular performance :). Also, they did very well with the Circles in the visuals.

I'm really excited to see Westlake!!

United HS- I really liked that ballad! The opener of the show was very interesting (hoping I didn't hear a tear towards the first hit ). Their visuals were really cool as well! Overall, I really enjoyed the show! Congratulations to the Laredo United HS Band! Edit- Forgot to mention, I really liked how in the opener, they utilized one side of the field for the guard and had the band be on the other side. Really was unique compared to other bands who use that feature later on in a show.

Clear Brook, Great performance! I really enjoyed the Bari Sax feature and it overall seemed like everyone really enjoyed the show. Managed to get on just in time for them! Their music feature is probably one of my favorites from this year!

there's also Lewisville ISD who sent 3 of 4 bands- Hebron, Marcus, Flower Mound And Birdville ISD- Haltom (6A), Richland, Birdville

That sucks :(. I can't imagine how they must feel right now.

I could see them in the Top 20! Probably one of my dark horses to make finals
