First off, BIG congratulations to Vandegrift HS, the first school since the addition of conference 6A to not only win 2 titles within the classification, but to do so Back-to-Back! A big congratulations to Marcus HS on returning to the Top 3! And I wanted to note, this is the first time in school History that Marcus HS has placed 2nd! Of course, congratulations to Hebron HS, your 2023 Bronze Medalist! I hope they get the show cleaned and ready for Grand Nationals, because I really want them to take the win there! This is also the first time in school history that Hebron has placed in 3rd in finals! Finally, congratulations again to all the 2023 6A State finalists on an amazing season! To all who are headed to Grand Nationals, best of luck ya'll! and for those competing in San Antonio super regional, best of luck as well!

truly I think Vista Ridge or Hebron are walking away as the champion, but I really hope The Woodlands walk away as champion!

That concludes the competition of the UIL 6A State Marching Contest! Congratulations again to the 43 bands that advanced on to the State Marching contest and to the 14 State Finalists on a fantastic season! I truly enjoyed every performance and can't wait to see how the results turn out!

Ronald Reagan HS- This was my first time seeing their show this year, and this show just added to the many reasons why Reagan is one of my favorite programs! The opener was truly spectacular, I loved just how chaotic it was! I really enjoyed the music and really enjoyed the low brass feature. Thank you Ronald Reagan for a fantastic performance!

Vista Ridge HS- HELLO VISTA RIDGE! This is my first time seeing them this year, and I have to say, the visuals are FANTASTIC! The music is really nice, and the balance throughout the band is epic! The opener caught me off guard, and that is a good thing! The Ballad is beautiful! Playing Through the Fire and Flames in the Final part?!? YES PLEASE! Thank you Vista Ridge for the amazing performance! I truly believe we have witnessed a possible State Winning run!

Marcus HS- Great performance! The music is spectacular and I hope that they stay within the Top 7! I really enjoyed the performance! Congratulations to Marcus on their finals performance!!!

Flower Mound HS- HELLO Flower Mound! Great job with the music, the visuals! I still love the fact that they have mirrors as props, the last time I saw this was when Wills Point HS used them in 2016. The Let it B ballad is very nice as well! That closer is still AMAZING! Overall, I really enjoyed the finals performance of the 2016 State Champion, Flower Mound HS! Congratulations on the performance! Also I hope that the player that was taken off the field is ok!

Hebron HS- What can I say, this program is a top 3 band. no questions asked. They are ranked 1st Nationally for a reason. The visuals, the music, the technique, the props, just make this show truly beautiful. That ballad is still one of my favorites for this year! And that Low Brass feature, just superb! I can go the distance is probably one of the best choices for a closer! A stunning performance from Hebron HS, and best of luck at Grand Nationals!

There is something about Hebron warming up and you just know you are in for a fantastic performance.

The Woodlands HS- OMG, that performance was AMAZING! I truly want them to win, and after that run, I think it could be possible! The music, the visuals, the uniforms, everything about this show is just truly amazing! Congratulations to The Woodlands on the finals run and best of luck at Grand Nationals!

Vandegrift HS- AMAZING Performance! The music is truly beautiful, and I really think that they could win the music side with the judges! Idk why though, but I feel that the visuals is what's going to get them. Overall, amazing performance from the reigning state champion and I hope it reflects in the placements!

Pearland HS- BEAUTIFUL PERFORMANCE! This show is really good and musically sounds AWESOME! i really enjoyed the flute solo in the ballad movement! And that Closer, WOW! I personally feel there are a few moments that need some work visually before Grand Nationals, but Overall, the show came out real nicely! Overall, Congratulations on an AMAZING finals performance Pearland HS, and Best of Luck at Grand Nationals!!!

Cy-Fair HS- WOW, JUST WOW. Congratulations on such an AMAZING performance! Full of Power, Full of technique, Cy-Fair HS just had probably their best performance! The music was great, the visuals were great, this show was put well together! Congratulations again to your FIRST time state finalist, Cy-Fair HS!

Just got on- Waxahachie- AMAZING PERFORMANCE! They sounded great and showed why they are a State Finalist! I feel the visual's is what's going to get them, but they still did phenomenal! Overall congratulations to the Waxahachie Band on their performance!

I managed to get 10/14 guessed to make finals, I didn't guess Waxahachie, Cy-Fair, Bridgeland, or Keller. I always like to be proved wrong

This will be their first State Finals! Congratulations to Waxahachie as well after the issues from earlier. Overall, a great day and I can't wait to see what is in store for tomorrow!!! Edit- Didn't realize this was Cy-Fairs first time as well. BIG CONGRATULATIONS to them as well!!!

Vandegrift HS- HELLO VANDEGRIFT! The show came out really good! I definitely see them and Hebron being in the Medalist contention tomorrow! The music was great, the visual's came out very nicely, and I feel that it will come down to who has the best performance tomorrow. Amazing job Vandegrift!!

North Shore Sr. HS- HELLO NORTH SHORE! after 5 years, North Shore is officially back at the State Marching Contest! The music is AMAZING!!! Carolina Crown trombone feature, Leander HS 2015 Choral Works Opener feature, and SO MUCH more! This has to be my favorite show from this year! Legit left me in tears! A Huge congratulations to North Shore and I REALLY WANT Them to be in finals!!!
