  1. SO FREAKING HAPPY FOR LOVEJOY!!!! Super happy as well for McKinney North, surprised about no D-ville, but everything else makes sense, and big congratulations to KC in 3rd for 4A! Tonight is gonna be amazing!
  2. Great shows by Lake ridge and highlands, both have a solid shot at finals! At this point idk who’s gonna get in, just praying Lovejoy wins AA after what happened to them at region (got a 2 for going 2 seconds overtime :/)
  3. Yeah, it seems the timer on the field was apparently 10 seconds behind without Lovejoy knowing, so they may reverse the score but I doubt it. Sounds like the thought they finished right at the end mark, who knows
  4. Yes, they had a great performance this morning and also at region, just went overtime by 2 seconds, so hopefully they can finish their season with a class win
  5. Great performance from Rockwall! That opening statement is so powerful! Great moments from the different sections, some drops in the guard but they did a great job overall! Another band I’d watch out for at Area C! Also, my phone is about to die, so I’ll be gone till the do awards. Good luck to Lake Ridge and Lake Highlands!
  6. Such a powerful sound from Azle! Love the CP 22 opener, percussion was really strong and who doesn’t love Hymn of Axium for a ballad! Could definitely see them taking a state spot at area, great job Azle!
  7. Amazing performance from Forney! The battle scene was so cool, and the music went with it perfectly! Huge ensemble sound, really cool and fun drill, and the soloist were on fire! Hope we get to see that again this evening, wonderful job Forney!
  8. Yeah Ik, I was watching the people around it the whole time!
  9. Amazing performance from L.D. Bell! Really love how the come together at the end for the opener to form the big dot! Great soloist, powerful ensemble sound and guard was fantastic! Great job Bell!
  10. They definitely could make finals, but I wouldn’t say it’s 100% guaranteed
  11. My goodness Timber Creek!!! Such a beautiful and strong performance! That sax soloist has such a mature sound, and I also loved the bone solo. Not the most engaging drill but they executed it so well! Another band I could see grabbing a medal here. Amazing job Falcon band!
  12. Great performance from Whitesboro! They have a great sound for their size, love the theme and the prop change at the end was very cool! Should have another successful season with UIL this year. Great job Whitesboro!
  13. Super fun show from Midlothian! Love they guard doing the kick steps during the “all I want for Christmas” part. Great soloist all around, a little bit of dirt in the brass but pretty good for the most part. I wonder how they will do at area this year, great job Midlothian!
  14. Great performance from Grapevine! I could see them wining AA music, but I think I’d still give visual and GE to Lovejoy. Some splatty sounds, but they marched very well, and have a great musical presence. Great job Grapevine!
  15. Holy cow Keller Central! That is one huge sound! Such a rich and powerful brass! Really enjoy their visual package, guard was great but I’m just absolutely blown away by their huge sound, we’ll definitely be in finals and I would be pretty surprised if they don’t make state this year. Amazing job KC!
  16. First time seeing Henny live and they DID NOT DISAPPOINT! Such a really fun show, and each person commits to their role! Loved the Bari and Trumpet soloist, so good, and some really good marching! Should solidly make finals, much improved since Austin, but I wouldn’t say it’s 100% guaranteed, but I hope they do. Great job Hendrickson!
  17. Solid performance from Creekview! Cool show, just need to clean up, but if they do so they might be able to sneak into area f Finals. Great job Creekview!
  18. Last year they took 6 from this area
  19. That North show had everyone on their feet! It’s just something you could listen to all day long, literally a jazz band marching show, and it works so well! I do wonder how they will be judged visually, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they made the night show! Just such wonderful sounds, and the vocalist was great, amazing job MN!
  20. I think it’s $14 or $17 for prelims if i remember correctly
  21. I’m no GE expert, but it’s really just the development of the show through the music and drill/bodywork. It’s the band presenting themselves emotionally, the guard amplifying the show through difficult/ solo moments, and just conveying the theme! It’s definitely a more in depth thing, but that’s my broad explanation, but you can find the judge’s adjudication book on the MFA website and see what they are looking for themselves!
  22. Very solid, I’d personally switch prosper with Waxahachie, and maybe move up D-Ville a spot or 2, but yeah mine would probably be like this
  23. For me, it was definitely Prosper! Ik it’s quite literally BA 19, but they are performing the show at such a high level, if they finally make it back to the state comp, I could see them in finals. Duncanville was also one of my favorites, really rich sounds, but everyone had just been great
