  2. I’m glad United did as good as they did. I said it at the beginning of the season I was hoping they would have a great season.
  3. So clearly you have a favorite. You should always appreciate a great band and their hard work. I don’t know what criteria you have to say big and sloppy for both JBA and Hanna. JBA was ranked 1st by 3 out of 5 judges Hanna was ranked 2nd by 2 out of the 5 judges and the other judges still ranked them higher than other bands Although the results aren’t what you want them to be. Don’t make less of the hard work that those bands put in. You’re not a judge at this contest and neither am I. The results are final. Appreciate that area G will be well represented at state.
  4. If anyone is there and wants to give a play by play that would be great! A fair play by play.
  5. Only area J and I are being streamed.
  6. I honestly think it will be between: Alexander Edinburg North Harlingen for the 2 spots. Granted I haven’t seen everyone in person but I have seen the videos on line and those 3 bands really stand out in the area.
  7. Missing all the valley bands.
  8. Agreed! It was great to see that representation! It would be nice to see more of the valley bands of come up to these competitions. Although, it’s understandable that the expense is tough.
  9. Toughest contest other than BOA San Antonio in terms of finals bands. It was definitely a very tough field for anyone to make finals. Only 6-7 were sure things the rest were fighting for spots.
  10. Tough to predict with such a stacked contest but here goes: Vandy VR RR(WOW!) Rouse Round Rock Henny Leander Dripping Springs Westwood Bowie Cypress Woods JBA
  11. It great to watch this on flomarching they just know how to operate for bands so much better than the other guys!
  12. Based on last years BOA SR I could see 8 locks. The final 4 finals slots are definitely up for grabs honestly this is going to be a great contest. I can’t to witness this live!
  13. I still think the toughest contest other than the BOA SR is TMC. This is a great contest though.
  14. They pushed it back. First band goes on in 15 mins.
  15. Presentation at 7:30 for finalist and finals will begin at 8:24
  16. There is a heat-related show delay in the interest of safety and well-being of the student performers and all in attendance. Preliminary performance will resume as follows: 6:24 p.m. Del Rio H.S., TX 6:36 p.m. Hidalgo Early College H.S., TX 6:48 p.m. McAllen Memorial H.S., TX 7:00 p.m. Roma H.S., TX 7:12 p.m. In Exhibition University of Houston Cougar Marching Band 7:27 p.m. – Presentation of Awards FINALS 8:24 p.m. – First Performing Finalist Band 12 total Finalist bands, the Finals performance schedule will be posted here when available
  17. This is always a good contest. The valley always comes to compete against each other. It is always so competitive in south Texas. A few staff changes and changes in programs hopefully it does not affect programs too much. Best of luck to all the bands huge shout out to the always underrated underdogs of the valley the John B Alexander band. I hope last years momentum from BOA super regional continues and they make a statement with a championship! Also a special mention to the Longhorn band under new leadership I hope this change continues with the tradition of excellence that was left from your previous director! Good luck to all the bands! Hope to see a great competition as always in the valley! I hope everyone has a great start to the Texas marching season!
  18. I’m completely speechless! That was honestly such an amazing performance! I have not seen Avon or Carmel but they have some very serious competition with Hebron and The Woodlands! I have seen The Woodlands and they are amazing! I’m hoping 1st and 2nd for team Texas!
  19. Still true today!
