This is why we're proud band geeks. Note: Coming from a dad who was all sports at this age and was more concerned with crashing the band parties. I've been delt a band hand and I'm all in. Great job Texas High School marching band fans!

Weird. The only performance Henny has had was out of district in Waxahachie. Should have performed at the Westwood game.

Ok. Let me get this straight. No offense is intended. These are the facts: TWHS Football 0 and 2 on the season National rank - 818 State rank - 91 TWHS Marching Band National rank - 13 (currently) State rank - no idea but will definitely go to state Marching Band camp commonly starts 2 weeks or more before football. Marchining Band is counted as an athletic credit as well as a fine arts elective and the students participte in music education year round at an expense to the parents that is equal to or better than any athletic program. Aaannd, show me the differences in gpa's of the 2 programs and number of scholarships awarded per program. This ISD needs to review their standards.

Hope to catch Weiss' show before Austin. Gotta root for the sister school. My senior tutored several members while in middle school. She calls last year's drum major her baby and she's so proud. LOL

I get great video and audio with my Nikon D3300 and a donated Canon Vixia camcorder. Of course neither one is 4K. Agreed, cell phones take decent stills for social media, but I wouldn't post any video from my S9 with Pro settings.

Leaving for SA in few minutes to catch the Def Leopard/Journey concert at AT&T Center to boot. Gonna sleep all weekend. 3 day weekend couldn't have come at a better time.

Experiencing the Hawks finest performance of the year as an exhibition before finals at the 2015 SA Super. March off the field. Load the trucks & buses, drive through the rain and have "The" performance of the year at the US Bands Finale in Round Rock taking 1rst place. The Hawks gave more than their all that night.

Must be nice. Our first preseason performance was a 2 1/2 hour drive to Waxahachie. Pulled out of the lot at 1:00 A.M. this morning to finaly find a pillow on a Thursday night. 10 hours round trip. The life of a Texas highschool marching band...gotta love it! "Welcome to marching band and competition season, Rookies"

With Duffy on board at Dripping Springs they will surely have great choreograghy. Hope to see their show this season.

Color guard is smaller (loss of Duffy). Band is hitting it. Mr. A is top notch and the show is fun.
