I think it’s actually very likely! Would love to see that happen, I thoroughly enjoyed their show at BOA Conroe. They’re performing it very well and UIL should reward that nicely!

I’m curious about ordinals.. the performance numbers are really important for stacking the groups up for area

My predictions for area I finals: 1. bridgeland 2. cy fair 3. cy woods 4. seven lakes 5. Jordan 6. tompkins 7. JET 8. cinco ranch 9. katy 10. langham creek I would say 1-4 could swap around, 5-7 could swap around and 8-10 could too but I think those are pretty solid echelons

Agreed, and Friendswood is consistently solid and very clean end of season. Also.... they're planning a Grand Nats trip for next year so I'm sure they want a strong showing here.

I see 7L, Jordan and Tompkins medaling with JET and Cinco Ranch in 4/5. paetow, katy, Fulshear, brenham, Travis should round out the finalists

I think the top 2 are locks: namely bridgeland and Cy fair. 3 and 4 could go to Cy Woods and 7L but I don’t think that’s as cut and dry. 5 is a fight between Katy, JET, Jordan, Cinco Ranch, Jersey Village? I haven’t seen them yet. Katy Marching Festival this week could be telling. I could see a couple of the bands fighting for the 5th spot inch up into 4th though.

Things that wouldn’t shock me: -a non-TWHS Houston school medalling -Conroe finalists missing -Reagan winning prelims -top & bottom half ‘crazies’

CTJ was so cohesive. I really could tell the ritual of the flamingo the whole way through. Character commitment was top notch! I look forward to seeing that show develop!

Bridgeland was incredible, I foresee a top half there.

Cy Fair with some technical issues, watching them try to fix that was soooo disheartening and makes me feel for the kids. They’re still performing the s*** out of the show so I think they’ll be fine but darn that sucks for them!!

Tuned in for Katy, Franklin and Pearland. Pearland is stunning, super high GE, both music and visual will need cleaning before grand nats but they have a month so they’ll be fine!

Definitely, Houston always gets late afternoon storms versus Dallas’ typical late evening storms. I’m not sure about Austin/San Antonio area weather patterns.

Just watched bridgelands football game run: opener and ballad on the field, looks like some new opener choreo. High GE for sure but still mega dirty. I have faith in them that they’ll clean it up. I didn’t have the qualms musically that I thought I would have given others’ comments about them. Love their show though!
