I will say, if Wakeland is as park-and-bark and “loud all the time” as some have said on here and on HornRank, they may not do as well here as we think (meaning, most likely still top half, but not a medalist contender). BOA tends to reward variety. Excited to see how they fare this weekend at Dallas I!

The participant list on the first page hasn’t been updated to include them so it’s understandable that they’d be missed! @LeanderMomma is slackin’! 😜 Other than that though, your finalist predictions are pretty close to mine, though I do have Choctaw and Azle either in finals or just knocking on the door. Point being, this is a pretty stacked show that’s hard to predict!

Never a good idea to sleep on Wakeland. There's an early video out there from a halftime performance in late August and they already sounded GOOOOOOOOOD. Would love to see a more recent performance, of course, but I think they could be in contention for a medal here.

No Friendswood? Neither here nor there, I’ve just seen people say really good things about them this year and not many predictions (also on HornRank) have left them out of finals.

If you look again you’ll notice it’s in alphabetical order.

And if we’re being honest, the best programs do not do this because they usually already work with the best designers. I would love to see a list of “those times” where a band copied another in the same season.

That shouldn’t be an issue in September when everyone should have learned their music and almost everyone should have almost all their drill.

Not always. Reigning champions have the option to choose their performance time, but aren’t automatically allotted last. Most happen do happen to choose the last slot though.

Now I definitely want to know.
