Cypress Falls was dead last at Conroe. I hardly see them making finals, let alone placing above a regional champion.

The “final” schedule BOA just released includes Azle, but their Area performance is at 1:15, and there’s no way they can haul tail to make it to Waco for a 3:00 performance. Cypress Falls was also a previous drop, so it remains to be seen if they will still be here, too.

After last weekend, I have Lake Ridge in 13th, unless we think their score and placement at Prosper was just a fluke thing. I have to say, I was a little underwhelmed but maybe it just wasn’t their best run.

Can anyone confirm if Azle is actually attending or not? It’s on the official BOA schedule from 10/11, but it’s not on the band’s calendar anymore.

To answer your question, Prosper at Grand Nationals in 2018. First band to perform on Friday, and were 12th place overall in prelims. Cypress Woods will be fine. It’s the finals slot that really matters. (See: Austin this past weekend.)

Personally, I think the buck stops at the directors and the kind of culture that they cultivate within their programs.

Not so unbalanced when you potentially just named all 14 finalists, minus one. Top 5 in each panel, next 4 regardless of panel. Panel 2 will simply have more or all of the “next 4’s.” It will be fine.

Has Pace recovered? They didn’t do so well here last year.

Happens to me every time, too! Always at least a couple of surprises at every contest... maybe Dripping Springs will be one of them! Serious about that grand, too.

I don’t think they’ve ever made Austin finals, at least not that I can recall in recent memory. Going from not even advancing to 4th would be quite the feat, and I will personally promise $1,000 to the person that predicted it if it does happen. Bet.
