For anyone watching on live feed can you rewind? Last week I could but not today?

Yeah, I don't want to be out in the rain all day either, just sad this isn't happening. Not sure when they could postpone it to as the next few weekends are all booked up with UIL Region and Area contest, and I know PESH attends San Antonio BOA on Nov 3rd, so it couldn't be then either. This is one of PESH's big fundraisers, so I am sure they didn't want to cancel it either. I know I worked of few of these contests when my son went there!

I know right! So that makes McKinney (I wanted to see how Plano Senior would do in the McKinney contest), this, and I think i just read that Birdville is cancelled too. I am so done with all this rain... but yeah, it looks like tomorrow is a total washout all around. I thought we could at least get the early bands in but mother nature is not a friend of the bands this year .

Looks like PEMI is cancelled for tomorrow due to weather too! So disappointing!

I know, this weather has been crazy! I don't have anymore kids at PESH anymore (my youngest is in the Clark HS band playing at 11:30 at PEMI), but I still like to follow them. I should probably change my user name to Plano Mom now since we now feed into Plano Senior and that is where my son will be next year, but I just can't get myself to do it yet, LOL. But I will be at PEMI this Saturday to see Clark HS play, and since it is so close to my house I will stay as long as the rain holds off! I do with PESH would do an exhibition show, but I understand why they don't.

I am glad to see them coming back to PEMI this year, really loved their cat show last year! Busy day for the kids, lot's of travel time! But if weather holds out, they will get 3 performances in that day!

I was surprised to see Sachse on this list, I thought they were in Waco?

Here is the schedule for PEMI. The 6A-NV are the Plano 9th/10th grade Non-Varsity (NV) high schools that just compete for ratings and other awards. The weather isn't looking promising for Saturday finals this weekend either, but keeping my figures crossed! Well I am hoping for 6 out of this Area contest! Too bad we can't take 10! Thank for the info on UIL versus BOA. And I agree with everyone one here... I don't think we will know until the 27th what will happen! Too many great bands here!

So with UIL rules, if PESH has good music and marching scores, but not as high in the GE, does that help them with UIL versus a BOA competition?

North Lamar did win this. One of the only contest to get finals in after a 30 minute lightning delay yesterday. I don't know all of the other bands but my son's band (Clark) moved from 10th to 7th in finals. They were very happy with that finish!

I would have loved to see this decided in finals. I saw all but Byron Nelson perform in prelims (had to run back to another contest!). Lebanon was really good and for such a new school they have developed a great program already.

Here is more info since they performed at TOC this weekend. Music by James Newton Howard with selections from King Kong. I think at least 3 of the King Kong songs are Tooth and Claw, Defeat is always momentary and Central Park. Also Aspalt Cocktail by John Mackey.

Pesh and Southlake Carroll put on really good shows at TOC. Both need to clean them up a bit. finals were cancelled there as well and I have no idea what place either of them came in for prelims. No idea how they compare to what went on at DFW BOA either.

I hope the rain stays away too. WFAA is saying 30% chance of a scattered thunderstorm, so hopefully, even if it does rain, it will not be a washout and just cause a slight delay here and there.

That will definitely happen, probably starting with certain bands not even making finals!

I think they are competing at the Tournament of Champions on Oct 6th. Plano East will be there as well, so we can maybe see them then and get a better idea of their show. (and PESH's, I haven't seen theirs yet either). I am going to try an attend this competition, but I have another one I have to go to earlier in the day to see my son's band play so not sure if I will make it or not.

Thank you! I know the kids are working hard and they have some nice music in their show. I didn't get there in time to see their performance last Wednesday (I got there about 10 minutes too late!), and all others have been rained out. My son got his braces off yesterday and I was teasing him that he should have waited because they have a competition on Saturday. He is a clarinet player and is part of a little ensemble that plays in one part of the show... he will be able to play fine, but I had to give him a hard time about not wanting to wait to get them off, LOL. I think Garland and Nimitz are the 6A ones. Garland is actually playing on the Mesquite Invitational in the morning and then coming out to play in the Princeton one. Long day for those kids, but they will get 3 performances in if they make finals.
