  1. looks like crossmen will be more noticeable than ever. although I'm afraid that if I try out for, idk, say blue devils, I might make it. and although I'm all up for prestige and winning everything, if what I heard is true, the work is 7963428 times harder than marching band. and this year I almost died by the end of our show. I was running more than half the time(running=5 to 5 @>180
  2. I have nothing but compliments for the guard. I mean geez, I've heard that the phantom regiment guard does semi-naked closed rehearsals!
  3. are the majority of trumpet players kind, thoughtful, non arrogant people?
  4. I always get that as I go into my room and hear all the other players SHAMING themselves.
  5. I've gone to both Ft. Worth and Dallas the past 2 years. If you ever saw me, I was the kid with the silver sousaphone with blue bows and cut out blue foam "double R's" on the top.
  6. I'm pretty sure churchill and reagan will never do a premade show. or any of the top leel bands, for that matter.
  7. well, I've got to know Watson pretty well over the years, and as a person, he is a VERY respectable human being. the discipline he instills inspires our band. of course he's a pretty funny dude in music theory, and tells some pretty raunchy jokes. The main reason is that I don't know geiger very well, just his credentials, so I can't really make that judgment, and I retract what I said before. I just know watson better, and I'd feel more comfortable being taught by him. I'm sure you feel the same way about Geiger.
  8. hmmm marchers: avon 2005/cavaliers 2004 pit: westfield 2003 drumline: spring 1993! high brass: marcus 2006 low brass: richland 2006 woodwinds: reagan 2005 colorguard: not really colorguard, but the angels(stephen f austin?) director: bill watson(sorry gavin, I respect watson more than geiger) music arranger: richard saucedo drill writer: kevin ford/michael gaines colorguard director: courtney mills OMG.
  9. idk. when we rush, way over 200. when we drag, like 80. bleh. Although going at like 220 during fundamentals is fuuuun...
  10. ours is 2 weeks from now. but our region is easier than last year, and I made 2nd chair last year, so I should get 1st this time. not to mention our area no longer includes coppell or duncanville, and all the guys that beat me last year were seniros, and I was a sophomore. looks like my hopes for state are pretty high!
  11. so a school can't even show their own show? youtube is gonna get shut down then.
  12. after watching both shows, I say LD Bell this year. Did you see the kid that was out of step and hear the flute solo mess up twice in broken arrow?
  13. we are way too similar buddy. I got a blue kellyburg last year and my BD yealls at me when I use it too! nice for cold games though. and tuba christmas.
  14. I agree. the best tuba solos(trigon, triumph of the demon gods, etc...) aren't on there. there's about 3 good solos on there.
  15. strange that PCEP's show was 1 word more than ours...inside out. odd, but cool. =D
  16. can't deny that, they march and play together better than anyone I've ever seen. although from what I saw, their drill wasn't the hardest thing in the world.
  17. I do believe that broken arrow has changed band forever. they did the impossible, and now all other "almost" bands have a chance. great review.
  18. sure thing buddy, I'll PM you and we can arrange it.
