  1. sousaphone=tradition(fat lazy parade tubas, you know) Contras=Hardcore(anyone that can take a season with one of those is a real man. you ever tried playing one for a few hours? It's murder!)
  2. Love the tuba groove part. no not the "freeze!" section. the one after that. It's cool.
  3. Um everyone is my section is pretty cool. Tubas at Richland are awesome people lol. EDIT: Oh I guess that means I'M that kid lol.
  4. US History: 3 English 3: 2(but I'm better at English, lol) Music theory: 3/4. 3 on normal 4 on aural questions.
  5. hmmm. I'd like to see the coats do really well. I have a soft spot for the tuba feature lol.
  6. Well I know I'm gonna be sad but I'll probably be going to UNT so it won't be that different people wise and location wise when I graduate.
  7. Are you implying that Richland didn't perform hummingbrrd as good as the bluecoats could Hash Brown? well you'd be right! I know I tried my absolute hardest with my solo but I never heard us play the whole thing together once. I hope the Bluecoats will have a tuba solo as well, anybody seen their show yet? I know Alberto Ocasio the contra if any of you guys have met him. He's a great player
  8. Bell. Just because I'm repenting for putting a bulletin up on Myspace titled "I hate LD Bell"
  9. OBJECTION! oh wait, no, I love my girlfriend. Nevermind.
  10. well, BOA arlington prelims. I played my tuba solo and it was PERFECT, and that crowd reacted to the dance part of hummingbird perfectly. I've never heard a crowd react like that. Ever. even at DCI contests. Of course that night our electronics didn't work, we crapped our pants, and left with a golf clap. Bleh.
  11. um...Germany. They'd like me there. I'd converse with the locals, make a complete idiot out of myself, then proceed to blow their minds with my crunk tuba playin. Or not.
  12. Yamaha is a great brand if you buy the right horn, such as a YBB-321 tuba may not be the best choice for a concert tuba, but a YF-101(I think) is a GREAT F tuba. and don't get me started on the quality of their contras, it's phenomenal. speaking of gawdy trumpets... http://www.harrelsontrumpets.com/satellite1.htm or: http://www.inderbinen.com/Page_e/Davinci_e.html go to the other trumpets on that 2nd website, they're gorgeous!
  13. Well, my girlfriend is incredibly smart(11 in the senior class I believe) and she is more level-headed than me, and I really dislike drama. It's the perfect relationship, she's a huge band and school geek, and so am I. It's not over-rated, if you find the right person.
  14. We sightread that march for our middle school cluster concert. Very tough for a middle school piece. About on par for high school. we're playing(1st band at Richland): Shastakovich: Symphony No.5 Finale Persichetti: Symphony for Band(muted tuba solos? heck YES!) Hindemith: March from Symphonic Metamorphoses I like our program. It's loud and minor.
  15. ok, maybe that was a really old web page, I was looking up redline tango one day for my orchestra, and saw that the blue devils had bought the rights to it. oh well, cool piece. sorry if I got anyone's hopes up.
  16. well, I'm voting no just for the time being. I couldn't foot the bill for both BOA GN and UIL state. I just don't have any money. and I like being able to focus on all the crazy creative stuff for BOA rather than just being clean for UIL, I can do that anyday.
  17. What do you do while thinking about dogs? hey, I didn't say you HAD to do it.
  18. I say phantom 03. just that ending bartok lick on the mellos.
