  1. I was going off of this quote where you said you had a feeling they WILL move back. I have a feeling when UIL redoes classifications for the 2026-2027 school year some of those schools will move back to Area B in 4A or they will stay in Area C and join 5A which is not that big.
  2. Again, they don’t always change area every time they reclassify. Sometimes it is 20 years before they touch areas. I’m glad you have a feeling but it doesn’t change facts. They do not have to change areas every 2 years.
  3. TexasStrangers you said the Dallas schools may move back to area b. The realignment that moved them into area c doesn’t happen very often. It doesn’t happen every two years. The two year alignment is for classification. That doesn’t change which area you go into unless you move classifications.
  4. Unfortunately they don’t realign area very often. It was 20 years ago or so since the last area change for 3A/4A area c. Don’t look for them to move anyone back. But, the next realignment will move Celina to 5A so there’s that.
  5. Repertoire: Camille Saint-Saens Claude Debussy Bedrich Smetna Steven Bryant and original music by Jacob Collier I fixed it for you
  6. No they were not the ONLY band with multiple tonguing. You clearly do not know what you are talking about.
  7. Tell us your judging credentials please. I would like to know.
  8. What bands use a lot of electronics?
  9. The change looks shady if you ask me. Lunch break after only a few bands? Should be giving the judges a longer break later. Like the original schedule. Wonder what made them think the change was necessary.
  10. Ok. Now let’s do predictions based on the high probability that it will be in the indoor facility. Who gets the edge with that little change? btw. All of your predictions are ridiculous. This area is too large. For any of these bands to see each other before area would mean drive 5 to 7 hours to the other bands contests. No way to compare so no way to accurately predict. Just enjoy the shows (that is if we even get to get inside to watch in the indoor facility with a sideline that is no bigger than 5 feet. I guess the end zone is an option. 🤔)
  11. I think we can all agree that the finals will be stacked with phenomenal bands. And 5 very good bands will not advance to state.
  12. Shepherd received a 2
  13. I love the positive comments on your district’s bands but do you have to throw shade at other groups. Come on man
  14. They actually have 10. Is that big enough? Personally it’s not about quantity but quality
  15. I think North Lamar Sulphur springs and Lumberton all have a good shot at finishing high. Lumberton had 2 judges place them 1st in finals. Had an outlier judge bring their overall ranking down.
  16. Howdy I agree that one judge didn’t care for their program. It’s a shame that one judge basically pulled them down from 2nd to 4th. I think they were the crowd favorite for sure.
  17. What did you think of LCM tonight?
  18. 14 bands in prelims. 10 in finals. Who makes finals and who goes to state?
  19. Those numbers are way off. The band has never been 200. Close when you count the drill team members that joined the show. Last year was way bigger than you said as well. So I presume you are wrong about this year.
  20. They’ll be fine and RISE to the occasion!
  21. Westtexasparent just stop. You’re digging deeper. This is not an objective sport. It is highly subjective. There is no way to have 2 people with different life experiences to agree 100%. It is what it is. But to complain because you disagree just feeds into the I have to always be right mentality. Guess what. It doesn’t work that way. Each judge gives their own opinion. I was an alternate to the All State band twice. Did that make me a bad player? No. It made me work harder the next year. By your logic I should have just complained until the process was changed to fit my beliefs. Again it didn’t define me. I got over it and worked harder.
  22. Again, you think your opinion is fact but not the opinion of the judge you disagree with. Get over it. Two people can see something completely differently. That’s life and it’s ok.
  23. You’re too funny. Ain’t gonna happen. Because you know what? Judging bands is subjective. And just as many people think your opinion isn’t right either. But you said it on a message board so you must be right.
  24. So many experts on here. Lol. By crying about the bands that “should’ve made it” you are also saying something to those that did advance to state. You’re just not openly saying it. Calm down. There’s a reason the judges don’t compare their score with other judges: fairness. Each judge is responsible for judging what they see and hear. Not based on “but they have always made it”. I’m sure there were many more bands that were good besides those that advanced but oh well. And for the students reading this: go practice. All region is just around the corner.
