Weird thing was that even on non-UIL years, they still made us adhere to the eight minute performance rule. In fact, they would sound a horn after eight minutes to signify that you went over time. We did have to cancel the contest halfway through one year due to lightning. Quote

All seven neisd schools are attending and so is the head judge of BOA from what I I've heard. it is not a competition, there is no win or lose - but each band gets some great feedback from the judges - it is intended to offer advice from top judges on what their program could do to be better. 7 years and I have never been able to attend this event due to a travel conflict with work - this year will be no different Hope to see some videos of all of them Quote
