radchad
Agreed. Also, does anyone know where I could find a video of SCV '98? I think that's what our opener is based on. If I'm right, then I've heard that show was pretty good as well. (**looks at the last few posts** Dang that's a lot of CP members) I used to have a recording of that show, but it was on an older camera. That was back when I was into DCI, but I wasn't a nerd because I couldn't pay for it or drive myself to any of the shows. It sucked because I am the only music person in my family. The only videos I could find are these: By the way, the percussion book for this show.. was one of the best I have ever seen. (Coming from someone who isn't a percussionist.) eatmyshorts5
Love Cavies. Can't decide between Cavies 2000 or 2006
ndnorris7
My favorite show, absolutely no question, is "Machine". The Cavies were beasts that year. Unbeatable. It was so clean and so creative. Nothing will ever beat it lol. Next in line is "Spartacus" from Phantom this past year. I loved when the Drum Major was killed and another had to take over. GREATNESS. I've been a Phantom Phan ever since I was interested in Drum Corps. They came to our school for rehearsal my first three years in high school. I was pretty upset this year when I found out that their Head DM had aged out. Phantom Phantom Phantom. But "Machine" can't be beat.

That was one of the most emotional performances I've ever seen
radchad
I thought Faust should have beaten machine to tell you the truth. That was one of the most emotional performances I've ever seen Agreed. Machine had the Creativity, GE, and Visual.. but it didn't rise to the standard of music that Phantom had. Machine was a great show, but after a few times it got stale. Faust, however. Was so emotional.. so raw and powerful that it kept me enthralled time after time I saw it. Their music kicked rear that year, as well. Machine had too much hype, in my eyes.
radchad
I also thought Cavies '04 was better than Cavies '06. In '04 they had it all: Creativity, GE, Music, etc. It deserved to win.

SeaMoosi
i looked through a few pages and didnt see some of my favs so i'll put em up... Star Of Indiana '93 -Don't even argue. This show was intense. SCV '89 -Beautiful music, loud impacts, and the end always gives me chills. Cadets 2000 -Watch the drum breaks and the insane trumpets, and you'll know. and i might stand alone on this, but... SCV '08 -I always have this stuck in my head, and the breakdown is freakin intense.

Tommusic
Star 1991 and 1993 were unbelievable. Their mellophones were godly both years. And the drill was intense and really difficult. I think 93 had more emotion and effect, but 91 is a treat to watch every time. Also, Cadets 1997 had one of the best mello lines I've ever heard. It's a somewhat unheard of show, but those players were ridiculous
