dfwhorn Posted November 17, 2025 Posted November 17, 2025 We are 5 seasons into the 2020s, who do you think has had the most growth/comeback in this half-decade? Quote

Bias or not, I don’t think Wylie East post-2020 growth can be ignored here. Seamless transition from making 5A State in Area B to 6A State in Area C (until Area J of course), constant 1-uping of their BOA SA record score, culminating in the creation of Wylie ISD’s BOA record score at SA this season. Alongside East, gotta be Prosper! Constant and consistent BOA regional & GN finalist, but better and better performances year after year to propel them to 2025 State Finals. Fantastic growth from them. Rubisco 1 Quote

Popular Post AshTru9 Posted November 17, 2025 Popular Post Posted November 17, 2025 Moe & Gene Johnson. They were 1 year into existence in 2020, with only Soph-Seniors that year. Now they're making UIL State in 6A + multiple Super Regional finals appearances this year. cowboyoboe, lost, utee94 and 2 others 5 Quote
LakeviewCentennialMello Posted yesterday at 06:05 PM Posted yesterday at 06:05 PM Lakeview Centennial also had some growth, mainly between 2022 and 2023 Quote
SharksAreCool Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago I’ve been talking a lot with my Rockwall friend and they have definitely had a lot of growth as a band. From going to 11th in 2022 to making BOA finals in 24 and 25 to making state. I just wanna put in a good word for them. Tubalord11 1 Quote
Popular Post Rubisco Posted 17 hours ago Popular Post Posted 17 hours ago Based purely on marching band results, I think the correct answer here is Bridgeland. Has any other Texas band gone from non-regional finalist to National, BOA SA, and UIL State finalist in this interval? I can't think of any off the top of my head. And if you look just a few years prior, to when the school opened in 2017, they placed next to last place at BOA Conroe prelims. That's a lot of growth!
