I have not seen one yet, I expect it will probably come out next week. The contest is still 3 weeks away. I know based on the website they are doing a 2A/3A/4A Finals and a 5A/6A Finals

Oh really? I heard that they only do it that way when there’s a lot of bands that sign up, is that true?

That is what is posted on their contest website, have no clue as to how many bands there are.

So, I guess we are not getting a Small School Finals and a Large School Finals if only 20 bands are at this contest. 

I would take the Top 6 Small Schools in Prelims and do a Finals and then the Top 6 Large Schools and do a Finals for them.

Yeah they definitely need to be up there. I wouldnt sleep on Mineola either. They might be 3A but that’s a solid state winning program. 
 

i would also maybe bump Anna down a few slots. 
 

I’m wanting NL to walk away with all the 4A captions but I know that probably won’t happen. I do hope they get some.

Idk abt this one. Last week at Melissa Sulphur Springs beat James Martin and Lakeview Centennial

Looks like North Lamar is playing 1st and leaving to spend the rest of the day at Celina.

Also, it looks like they are doing a Division 2 (3A/4A Finals) and a Division 1 (5A/6A) 

I don't know how many they are taking to Finals for each group. There are 8 3A/4A bands and with North Lamar leaving that would leave 7 so maybe they take 5 or 4 to finals and 11 5A/6A's which maybe they take 6 to finals. Anyone got a good hear out there and knows what is going on with this contest?

They need to just make one finals for all bands. The D1/D2 thing is honestly dumb. Sulphur and Aubrey could definitely place well against many of those “D1” bands.

competition week! my prediction for top 5 go as follows (if all small/big schools are together)

1. North Forney 

2. Highland Park

3. Sulphur Springs

4. Lakeview Centennial

5. North Garland
 

honestly, I haven’t seen a lot of the other bands or gotten scores to make a final decision about the last 5. But I think my top five are pretty accurate after lookin at some of this weekends forums (mmi)

I say this is a pretty reasonable placements for this weeks comp. 

1. sulphur springs - they were able to get into the melissa finals competing against tought 6A bands. 

2. Lakeview centenial - Don hanna contest were placed 2nd both rounds and won visual captions and best 5a band in preliminary 

3.  Highland park- swept as 5a in mesquite marching contest 

4. North forney 

5. james martin 

those are my top 5 (in a rush)

I think for me if I had to adjust the list 

I would put north forney, highland park, and Lakeview centennial all in a mix of 1-3 I feel like that’s something that might happen
