Seems pretty legit, the top 10 at this contest is gonna be great and also that battle for the podium is gonna be sick. Might not be the largest contest of the week but will be fun to see this battle go down.

I trying to remember so if I am wrong please correct. Isn't the Don Hanna the contest in Mesquite where most bands perform get a rating and leave. I think the last several years there were several bands that performed there and left to go play at another competition later that day.

Don Hanna is in Denton. I believe it's named after a former director of Denton Ryan or something along those lines. I get your confusion, since there was another competition at the same stadium for many years [Golden Triangle], but I haven't seen anything indicating that that contest in particular is going ahead this year.

This competition isn’t on Mansfield’s calendar anymore as of right now. Not sure if it’s a mistake or if they aren’t going…

That makes me curious what could happen. They've been up in the top of this contest for many years so this could be an area for someone to sneak in, this could be a BIG change to don hanna!

I’ve been with Richland since 2007 and seen all their shows. I’ve seen the glory years, the low years and recently the resurgence. I love this years show “The Third Dimension “ and believe it will bring some good results. Richland has a wonderful band program and I wish more attention was spent on programs that are not on the top tier and everyone knows who they are but that’s fine they are a respected program and I have had wonderful memories of all their performances.

It’s on their schedule, they’re going to boa DFW first and then coming to Don Hanna at least that’s what their schedule said

With the official schedule released, the only major change seems to be -- as others have noticed -- the introduction of Boswell. I would add that Boswell has a good shot at top half here, and a slight chance at making it into the top three.

In terms of prelims performance order, TC has an edge over Richland, so we might see Richland lower in prelims but then get a finals bump.

Relatedly, Krum -- as the earliest performer of the bubble bands -- will need a memorable performance in prelims to get into finals. If I'm reading the schedule rightly, Krum's closest score "anchor" is in the next block, and it's Richland, so it will be interesting to see how the judges navigate that one.
