As an NC alumni now, last year was definitely a glitch. Several reasons why I think we didn’t do so well was our show was poorly designed, this show was a lot harder in both music and drill and we received music and drill music extremely late which resulted in limited preparation. But with this year’s show, they have potential to be great and the band has grown in numbers with the incoming freshmen which could result in them being moved up a group. Whatever happens, I am excited for north Crowley and I will definitely be rooting from the stands this year Tubalord11 1 Quote

dfwhorn Posted May 31, 2025 Posted May 31, 2025 Some early predictions Cen10 Richland Boswell Richardson Fossil Ridge Eaton Frisco/Chisholm Frisco/Chisholm NC Saginaw Garland Ryan Paschal Denton I'm not as familiar with usbands stuff but I feel like this could be an interesting contest. Be on the lookout for Denton or North Crowley, Denton has a staff change and NC could definitely be a dark horse of this contest. I think the spot between Frisco and Chisholm will depend on who executes it better, I know that Frisco is having some gothic theme which could be sick BandNerd07 1 Quote
dfwhorn Posted June 4, 2025 Posted June 4, 2025 Per the calendar of V.R Eaton H, they may only be performing in prelims for this contest. Not entirely sure if it is final. From their calendar it says: "Our plan is to march Prelims only so that students who choose may still participate in Homecoming." Might or might not change some of yalls predictions, just wanted to make you guys aware Quote

I think TubaLord11's predictions from May are about right. We will have scarce data on most of these groups going into the competition and, in fact, this competition will be the first litmus test for most all of these bands. There are only a couple significant changes since May: (1) V.R. Eaton is not marching finals and (2) Lake Belton is now attending. In terms of rough groupings, not necessarily in order within those groupings: 1-4: Burleson Centennial, Richland, Lake Belton, Boswell. 5-7: Richardson, Fossil Ridge, Chisolm Trail 8-10+: Frisco, N. Anthony V Posted September 27, 2025 Posted September 27, 2025 Finals schedule below, from USBands website. I think it's reverse placement order. (Well, here's what the info packet says: "The advancing 12 ensembles will be re-sorted by score. / The lowest scoring ensemble will perform first. / The highest scoring ensemble will perform last." I assume the middle 10 bands are not randomized but re-sorted by score in ascending order, which would be reverse placement order.) 6:00 pm Grand Saline High School 6:15 pm Chisholm Trail High School 6:30 pm Eagle Mountain High School 6:45 pm Frisco High School 7:00 pm Fossil Ridge High School 7:15 pm Cleburne High School 7:30 pm Ryan High School 7:45 pm INTERMISSION 8:00 pm Saginaw High School 8:15 pm Garland High School 8:30 pm Richland High School 8:45 pm Lake Belton High School 9:00 pm W.E. PercDad4Life Posted September 28, 2025 Posted September 28, 2025 Missed the first half of finals, but Saginaw did well to open the final set with great Arabian music. Wasn't their full show, but an enjoyable performance. Quote
PercDad4Life Posted September 28, 2025 Posted September 28, 2025 (edited) Garland stepped up and aroused the crowd with some solid power and exciting music. Drill needs some tightening up, but overall a nice show. Shout out to the trombone soloist.... Great job. Edited September 28, 2025 by PercDad4Life Added more Idkwhattoputhere 1 Quote
PercDad4Life Posted September 28, 2025 Posted September 28, 2025 RICHLAND came to play. Very cool iridescent props and possibly the biggest sound at this competition. They will be a force once they put their whole show on the field. Quote
PercDad4Life Posted September 28, 2025 Posted September 28, 2025 Nice work Lake Belton. Definitely the biggest band at this competition and they used their size and power to deliver a very nice performance. Loved the 1812 overture closer!! Colorguard should win their caption. Percplayer19 1 Quote
PercDad4Life Posted September 28, 2025 Posted September 28, 2025 Well done Boswell. Very cool "jazzy" ballad and wonderful colorguard. BHS Percussion stood out as a positive also. They definitely made a play for 1st place. Quote

PercDad4Life Posted September 28, 2025 Posted September 28, 2025 Centennial percussion was 🔥 and drill was 🔥. Good blended sound but they need more power at key moments to really pop. Huge shoutout to the saprano sax soloist...🔥 Great job overall. Should be another great year for the Spartan Regiment. Quote

Anthony V Posted September 28, 2025 Posted September 28, 2025 Re: finals results. I'm a little puzzled to see Fossil Ridge so low. But I'm happily surprised to see a strong showing from Boswell. We also saw a Richland prelims-to-finals bump -- so congrats to them on another top-3 contest finish. And congrats to Burleson Centennial on another contest win! This bodes well for them, especially when auxiliary captions count at UIL. It's too bad Richardson had to cancel and V.R. Eaton had other obligations. A semi-educated guess is that Richardson, Garland, and V.R. Eaton would have filled out 5th-7th had they all been in finals. Re: prelims results. Follow link: https://usbands.org/events/files-events/1000/1128/SAGINAW-PRELIMS-RESULTS.pdf It looks like Krum withdrew, in addition to Richardson's cancelation! Looks like Lake Belton and Richland were "tied" for 3rd (tie broken in favor of Lake Belton), and V.R. Eaton was in 6th (behind Garland but ahead of Saginaw). JFNDOWBFAN and PercDad4Life 2 Quote
Percplayer19 Posted September 28, 2025 Posted September 28, 2025 Congratulations to all the bands and special shoutout to the great folks in the stands for enduring so brutal weather. Richland is not peaking yet but headed in the right direction. I can’t wait for the final product in the Area contest. I believe they will do very well. Quote
