Stevens.  Not a band I’m familiar with but fun show! Cute theme.

Stevens is one of my favorite NISD bands! They used to write everything (drill and score) in house. I couldn't tell you if they still do.

They're also one of the few NISD bands to accomplish a "full" sound all the time.

Darn, I was hoping for an NISD breakthrough, and it wasn't even particularly close.

Looks like TMC was a fluke for LT and they were more solid than I expected. Brandeis also seemed to peak right at end of season.

No way of knowing if things might've been different with a finals, but I think prelims results show that 1-4 would've likely been the same.

The percussion judge definitely didn’t know what they were doing because the scores for perc were all over the place like Brennan at 8th Harlan at 5th and Brandeis at 9th. At thunder in the hills Brandeis beat westlake by 20 points so things aren’t adding up. Apparently it was also the percussion judge’s first time judging a completion and they weren’t even judging the right category.

Professional hater for what. It’s just a bunch of kids having fun. We can all tell that you go to or are associated with lake travis and are just afraid of what might happen if Brandeis actually does beat y’all. It’s about time that an NISD school goes to state.

No one is talking about vista taking down Vandy. Big upset

It’s happened before and on only one of those occasions was Vista Ridge able to stay ahead at state.

There are rumors that Rouse and Cedar Park may be moving up to 6a during the next alignment. If that’s true, it will be interesting to see where they are placed.

It's possible Vista and Vandy move down. They're all right on the edge of enrollment. Leander was also right on the edge

Would be a nice swap, but seriously they need to add three more teams to this division so they can send five bands to state - too many talented programs not to get one more in.

Congrats to the advancing bands!

I really hate to say this, but I think it’s time for UIL to consider moving the Region 29 bands back to Area G with the South Texas bands. At this point, it’s been ELEVEN years since a NISD band has advanced to State. From a district that used to send at least one band to State from the 80s to 2014, I understand the frustration that the bands from that district might feel.

I do think the switch from Area G to Area H has been a net positive for NISD bands in terms of building their programs, but the San Antonio region as a whole has been very underrepresented at UIL State because of the change. It would also ensure that more than 3 Area G bands could advance to State as well.

I'd move from the NISD schools to the Leander schools. They know how to win, and this would make sure that they stay in Area H 6A to dominate.
