Spanning from College Station to Galveston and from Brenham to the Beaumont area. 😵💫 Quote

Jarredondo19 Posted October 15, 2025 Author Posted October 15, 2025 Friendswood has been having a textbook Friendswood season after seeing them 3 times this season i have no doubt they'll pull off the 6 peat. I havent seen much on College Station but I know they'll definitely be in the top 3. I saw A&M Consalidated at BOA Conroe and was pleasantly surprised with the show it looks like they're continuing to build on their post covid momentum. I havent seen Barbers Hill live but I have seen videos of them from their performances at the Channelview ISD marching contest and I like the direction they've been moving in since the director change after 2021 and have faith that they'll remain in the top 5. I FULLY BELIEVE that Brenham can pull through and clench the 5th state spot and break their decade long streak of not making state this year, I did see a video of their show this year and definitely think its possible. The 6th state spot is honestly gonna be a 3 way bloodbath between La Porte, Angleton, and Kempner, La Porte has been having their best season since 2022, as a La Porte alum and have seen the show develope I think its possible that La Porte can break the 35 year drought this year, they got 2nd at their first contest at US Bands Webster and were only 2 points behind the champions Clear Lake, aswell as beating other bands that they compete against in area like Kempner, Porter and Randle. They also won their 2nd contest at US Bands Spring and once again beat Porter and took every caption but one. If La Porte can keep their momentum going they genuinely have a shot to jump from 12th to 6th. Ive seen Kempner perform once at a football game and I do think that their show last year was better than this year but Kempner is a late bloomer so im still keeping them in contention for the 6th spot. Angleton has been mystifying this year just like last year they havent made finals at a single competition just like last year but they magically shot up at area and made state for the first time in 2 decades i did get a chance to see them at BOA Alvin but I wasn't able to get a proper read on them since their show wasn't finished and they were using their props so Im leaving them with La Porte and Kempner to fight it out for 6th place. Porter unfortunately has been having a rough year with them loosing a good chunk or their band to graduation and less students coming with New Caney ISD opening West Fork recently, Porter is by no means out of area finals but they're out of state contention in my eyes in 9th place. Ive seen numerous videos of Randle and they've gotten better this year, with the school being only a few years old I think this will be their best year so far I do think they can maybe jump Porter for 9th place but I don't have a proper read on Porter to say it confidently. 11th place i have Galena Park the band has been on an upward trend and they're continuing to develope and build on their momentum. 12th genuinely is a tossup this year between 5 different bands that all have solid chances to make it these bands are Port Neches-Groves- decent show from what I've seen online Baytown Sterling - they were one off from finals last year really rooting for them to make it this year Spring Woods made finals last year but from what I've seen i think the other bands on this list have more advanced shows than Spring Woods this year I think they can make it but I they'll have to fight for it Pasadena - 2nd out from finals last year and they have a pretty good show from what I've seen so far I think it might be the year they can make finals West Fork - they sound insane for being so young, I saw them at Lone Star Preview and think they're really coming up this year and can give some of these bottom 4 bands real trouble This is my updated prediction after my dissertation lol Friendswood College Station Barbers Hill A&M Brenham La Porte/Kempner/Angleton Kempner /Angleton/La Porte Angleton/ La Porte/Kempner Porter Randle Galena Park Baytown Sterling Could also make it West Fork Pasadena Port Neches-Groves Spring Woods Quote
