Gpk1968 Posted October 26, 2025 Posted October 26, 2025 I had every intention of providing some commentary during finals but gave up after I drained half my battery attempting to share the prelims results. PC - exactly what I expected. Clean. Precise. Glad the props are finished because I didn’t know what to think about that thing in the back of field at the showcase. Makes much more sense now. I probably liked last year’s show better. china - man, one judge really did not like their music and I honestly think i get it. Tone it back like 10% and I swear magic could happen. I put them in the same league as sulphur when it comes to volume…constant loud volume. I heard one too many bad sounds and I think that cost them. I’ll be honest: Aubrey, Krum, and Alvarado all blended together for me. It was a long day. Happy for Krum. I know it’s been a long time coming. springtown improved leaps and bounds since Melissa! Stellar performance. heartbroken for Gatesville. They were one of my favorites last year 🌼 cheeto2401 1 Quote

Tubaplaya2011 Posted October 26, 2025 Posted October 26, 2025 History repeats itself with Godley, back in Finals and it fell flat. 12th in Finals, but 9th in prelims, a similar situation happened in 2021. All the band this year has never experienced an Area Finals competition, they all graduated last year with the 2021 Show. This starts a new run. 70% of them this year is underclassmen, very young group of kids going forward the next 2-3 years. Pretty excited to see where the future takes them. Quote

Gpk1968 Posted October 28, 2025 Posted October 28, 2025 It’s always interesting when that happens and it’s pretty easy to see who the guilty parties are when certain bands do/don’t advance. It’s always disheartening to see. I understand emotions are high but I hate to see one band’s success be minimized due to public opinion of other bands being “wronged” im surprised area c isn’t BLOWING UP. that’s one of the reasons I stayed off the site yesterday!
