This contest is slowley becoming a contest for bigger schools

The contest last year was a huge event with around 29 bands if I remember. There were 5 2A's, 11 3A's, 5 4A's, 7 5A's and 1 6A School.  This is a list of the schools that made it and placed it finals. I could see with the improvements going on in Celina and based on schedule how this could be an event for bigger schools. It's hard to predict who is coming until everyone starts putting out their calendar and sometimes things change at the last minute where schools drop and schools ask if they can join.

Looks like Melissa is also doing BOA prosper so they might not be around for finals, but maybe they will come back. The schools are like ten minutes away from each other.

I think Lovejoy wins unless Melissa comes back. They’ll both be at McKinney tomorrow so we’ll get a good comparison of the two

Lovejoy beat both Celina and PC at McKinney. I think they are the solid favorite for #1

Melissa did not do well at McKinney and I could easily see NL topping them. I’m not sure about the rest.

yeah, it's just weird bc they did well in music minus WWS but their visual scores have been low all season. It say's on the site they are using area/state judging sheets; does anyone know if it's the new area system that's been used or the 7 judge from state? Either way I think they have a very strong show at 1st which would be huge for the program. They sound great but really need to lock in on marching

They came in right behind NL at mineola this past weekend. I think they are doing well! They placed above Farmersville.

I saw PG at Mineola. I think they could make a serious run for State this year. Do I think they are better then North Lamar right now? Nope, but there is still 3 weeks to go until Area.
