LC has stepped up their show this year... and it shows with their results. In the mesquite festival they tied for 3rd place in 5a and 4th overall when they didn't break the top 10 last year, as well as scoring 2nd place for the don Hanna and Royse city contests with some caption awards too. During those contests they've come really close to 1st place (0.5 points at don Hanna, and 2 at Royse city). So they have a really good shot at coming out as area champs!

I’m not sure by raw score but west mesquite placed 4th, lc 2nd.

This area next year will be getting even stronger, as Garland, Mesquite, and Rowlett are set to move down to 5A.

Also, Crandall will be the largest 5A in Region 3; their enrollment went up by over 300 students from 2023.
