For real, I remember in 2023 I believe area B there were 6 state slots and then 3 schools join the area and that bumped it to 7 slots and berkner made state

That would be amazing. However, unless they have changed the number of bands that have to make area to add a 5th school, not sure there are enough schools.

Even if every school makes 1's at UIL I don't think there are enough. It's 1 spot for every 5 schools right?

Yes that is correct. If I recall if every band makes a 1, it's only 24 bands meaning only a max of 4 bands can advance, which when you think about it really sucks.

i think a few schools had a 2 last year.. wouldnt be shocked if there WAS five bands that made it to state

I believe that is right. It's insane to me though that sachse over took Wax. I was looking over at the Wax band when they got called for 2nd place and a kid stood up to celebrate and the director told the 1 kid celebrating to sit down.

Is anyone going to be at the Berkner Vs Little Elm game? I'd be interested in seeing how Berkner is preforming since their first game. Unfortunately Little Elm is a little to far away from me to justify going.
