Wax and Forney are the two top bands in the area with almost no notable staff changes. Sachse at a comfortable 3rd even with a mostly new staff. I think Rockwall jumps D-Ville this time around. I could see the RISD schools mixing around at 6-8, but I think Pearce is the stronger group. I thought I'd be spicy and get Royse City in here! They haven't made Area Finals in almost 20 years (they were a 3A at the time!), and they were right there with Richardson in Prelims last year.

Richardson, Rowlett, North Garland, and North Forney would all be good contenders to crack the top 10.

I think it’s too early to rank the RISD bands. One thing I will say is Lake highlands isn’t scoring over JPP and Definitely not over Berkner. Rn they need to worry about if they will make finals.  Berkner and JPP will definitely be fighting between 6th and 7th place.

Now that it seems that the fire over at Dville seems to have been extinguished, anyone know anything about their show and how they’re doing? All I know is what the show is called but nothing about the music selection or anything like that.

Nice opening drill, reminds me of Vandergriff 2022. Nice job by the woodwinds into that opening hit. Pretty well sounds for game one. Some visual things here and there but overall not bad. Pretty good Mustang Band, won’t be surprised to see this at State.

Yeah Sachse is going to be hard to beat this year. Crazy demand in their music book with all those runs and they’re already handling it nicely! And was that a screamer I heard? Oh boy can’t wait to see the finished product of this show

We were there, but I am also biased. I didn’t hear Berkner honestly because I was trying to get all our stuff off the field.

We made it to game just before halftime. Saw both bands but from behind. My bias shows with my name but Rockwall seems locked and loaded for a run. But it’s still early. 
 

Berkner felt like they weren’t as far along as Rockwall is at this point. 
 

Both shows will grow a lot the next few weeks!

Rockwall ISD now has their own Sports Network channeled through You Tube. 
 

Search Rockwall Sports Network and you can find last night’s broadcast. They showed the Rockwall band’s halftime show. Doubt they showed Berkner but you could check!

BOA Dallas is also BOA Bedford. I think what you’re referring to is when BOA Prosper was called BOA Dallas ll (it also might be called that on HornRank as well).

Saw Duncanville on the WFAA stream tonight, and man, it’s gonna be a battle to the very end between them and Rockwall. Love the Grantham opening, and clean brass playing already!

I have 2 sons in the band and hope this is the year. My Senior has been so close every year. Last year one space out was a gut kick!

These kids are working so hard. I feel like they are farther along than they have been at this point in years past. Can’t wait to see when they get the full show on the field.
