Saxtastic45 Posted October 26, 2025 Posted October 26, 2025 So North Lamar has to wait another year to go first again. Quote

Judge 1 was WW, 2 was brass, and 3 was percussion. They just aren’t labeled that way on the results sheet (and I think they should be). Most people don't know that, they just think all the judges are judging the same thing. Gpk1968 and GoldenGuard 2 Quote

bandisfun2000 Posted October 26, 2025 Posted October 26, 2025 is it just me or does the prelims draw feel somewhat similar to last years prelims wgitxluv 1 Quote
cheeto2401 Posted October 26, 2025 Author Posted October 26, 2025 this might be insane, but china spring might take it this year 7-1-1-1-1 at area b prelims, tell me that isnt insane Quote

PC was one of the first bands to go and CS one of the last. Looks like an early draw hurt PC. I think CS will slip this year. They don’t sound that good this year and the show is kinda boring. It’s not the kids fault. It the arrangement. I love new world symphony. I really dislike this take on it. State finals yes, but 7-9 place. PC is amazing. They are the only band I’ve seen that can legit challenge Celina. Gpk1968 and Karma_Savior 2 Quote

I was rooting for CS to come out on top but I knew how it would play out after watching finals. There was a clear divide between the two. GoldenGuard 1 Quote
wgitxluv Posted October 28, 2025 Posted October 28, 2025 UIL has released the official schedule! What is everyone thinking so far? Quote
mellophoney Posted October 28, 2025 Posted October 28, 2025 Wish I could be there to see this in person, Valley View, Aubrey, and Celina back to back to back sounds like cinema. Quote
Popular Post Dave609 Posted October 29, 2025 Popular Post Posted October 29, 2025 Based on everything I have been able to see- My predictions are- 1st- Celina 2nd- Sulphur Springs 3rd- Panther Creek 4th- Davenport 5th- China Spring 6th- Fredericksburg 7th- Canyon 8th- Floresville (beat both Davenport and Calallen in prelims at Area) 9th- Calallen 10th- Krum (could also see North Lamar, West Plains, and possibly even bands such as Legacy Ranch, Freeman, or Cooper-Liberty fighting for this spot) Should be a fun one to see who advances to finals this year. wgitxluv, jmartin1056 and GoldenGuard 3 Quote
Gpk1968 Posted October 29, 2025 Posted October 29, 2025 My predictions are unique, I know. It’s more preference and who I like more than anything Celina Davenport Panther Creek China Spring North Lamar (a long shot I know but I’m hoping) Sulphur (wild I know) Canyon (I can see them moving way, way up) Calallen West plains valley view (long shot I know, also maybe Krum or Fredericksburg) ClarinetKid23 and wtxbd02 1 1 Quote

I don’t see them in the top 5. I think they struggle to make finals. I don’t think NL is a long shot for top 5 at all. Competitive for a medal even. I think you’re right about Sulphur. I still haven’t seen Davenport. Any vids? I think Krum is solid for finals. Quote

Had Randy jones not ranked them so low, they might’ve won prelims. I would love to see a west Texas band move into the top 5, but having not seen them in person idk where to exactly place them. Quote

I did see them at Melissa but it was so early in the year that I can’t be certain how they’ve improved. I’m in the same boat because I’d like to see Canyon High crack the top 5, BUT I haven’t seen any of the other area bands. Canyon has a solid show. Is it enough, I don’t know. Quote

Both West Plains and Randall have been to state finals over the past 3 years so I think both could find themselves there again this year, but not in the top 5. TaffetaDarling 1 Quote
waynet2010 Posted October 29, 2025 Posted October 29, 2025 I could see Canyon making top 5 this year. I think Randall and West Plains will struggle to make finals this year. Quote

It’s also extremely impressive that WP has made state all 4 years they’ve been open. Quote
waynet2010 Posted October 29, 2025 Posted October 29, 2025 Maybe West Plains will get 1 more finals run before possibly going up to 5A TaffetaDarling 1 Quote

I don’t think SS will beat them. For me they are the most serious of contenders for the throne. cheeto2401 1 Quote
