I live in Frisco... it's quite a drive out there still, but I think it might be worth it. Did you apply to the Honors College of UNT or just the regular university?

yah... we have a 24 count woodwind hold... it's depressing... especially cus the next set is like... extremely hard to make.

I think that Areas B, C and F could all see some upsets... but we won't know that for a while. Unfortunately, we have yet to play a football game against anybody that will be competing in our Area, so it's hard to judge where we are at.

haha, quite a few comments about this post: 1. Ditto with you on wanting to double (possibly triple) major. Me= Music Comp./Biology/ Possibly Music Education. 2. Engineering and architecture/math... scary!!!! 3. I applied to UNT as well this past week! YAY! What day did you sign up for for auditions? 4. Even though University of Michigan is my first choice, I'll probably end up at UNT for undergrad studies and then go to the UofM for my PHD, it's A LOT easier to get into UNT's composition program than Michigan's... they require a portfolio at the UofM of like... 4-7 pieces and recording that you have written, and currently I only have 2. 5. If you go to UNT, you hafta meet Dr. Joe Klein. HE'S AWESOME! He's the department chair of Music Composition at UNT. I'm trying to get a mentorship up there with a few of the composition professors, and he's helping me out to no end!

we're not going to BOA, but all we have left is our closer... hopefully we start on Monday!

Yah... Logozzo... he was head of Percussion Studies at UNT about 5 or 6 years ago...

I had a restriction for 2 months about not even being allowed to drive outside the city of Frisco... =[ They said it's a probably that I can go the the HEB contest. CAN'T WAIT!

OUr drumline is doing MUCH better this year. Our percussion director always rights the pit and drumline parts to the show, and for some reason this year, it seems like a completely different writing style than he's used before, but I like it a lot better.

wow, that's horrible. I think our band director would go insane is something like that happened. thankfully we have a camera in the band hall by the door entrance.

mmm... yah not really, but with all the major highways and stuff... I pass the stadium all the time on my way to my grandparents house, so I could probably drive their blindfolded, but my parents are really strict as to where I am allowed to drive.

it is this Saturday. I don't think we have anything to do, so I'll probably be going, even though it's like... an hour away.

The contest is THis Saturday right? Maybe I'll try to go...

ehh... close enough. Since our next few games are on a thursday night, I'm going to drive out and try to make a football game of L.D. Bell's to see the show. I"m excited

unfortunately, I never saw the show... so I'm pretty clueless still. it does still sound quite interesting.

yah... there were two from last year that aren't really appropriate to say. and then one flute player in our band named two sets in our third mvmt... can't say those here either.

Yah... I'll agree with Wang, but I know the instant our Cross town rival game (CHS vs. FHS) come along... here comes the booing, and sodas thrown at us... but at least it's from the other team, not ours =]

Well... Centennial is now 0-3 after a loss to West Mesquite on Thursday 49-29. It was a good last quarter though!!!

Finished the 3rd mvmt. in 2 days basically. 4th mvmt. next week!!

my sophomore year we had "The Squiggly"... it was basically 2 giant arcs with the whole band in it. Last year we had "The House Set"... it somewhat resembled a house... this year... nothing.

that almost happened to our band my freshman year. The Plano East competition was the same day for us, and if we had made finals, we wouldn't have gone to the dance. but we placed either 11th or 12th away... it was close, we were only off by about .8 points.
