  1. well, we kinda host it, so We will be at exibition.
  2. We got first at the Meyerson thingy. Our Sinfonietta was pretty cool Our march was really good too. The hall echoed for like five minutes after we played the last notes of the first movement.
  3. Bells for Stowkowski.... I hated playing that piece. I worked ferouciously on it, then I was moved to conductor. That slightly irritated me...
  4. with ours, I can see all of them making it. Which can be a good thing.
  5. we've had narration/singing for the past four years. I guess it depends on how you do it, and where you put it.
  6. mvt three is the easiest mvt. The other two are hard just to make sound right. We got straight ones. I had the hardest sight reading piece though.
  7. Are you going to have cocounut solos played by a swallow?
  8. How many trumpets/sopranos does it take to screw in a light bulb? 13. the third trumpets will fall over, the seconds will drop the bulb, and the first will over shoot it. That takes out about 12. Then the last one will put it in, and probably do something stupid.
  9. no, we were the smallest. 120 winds, 13 DL, 10 Pit, 15 SC, 27 CG, 2 DM. SFA was the second smallest.
  10. dude, that was retarded. Could you be mature and keep your sex-addicted mind off of here? Seriously man...
  11. I like the woodlands show last year. Hide and seek was too propish for me. but what am I to say with 7 giant Ipods?
  12. eh. the second time I aprticipated at GN wasn't as fun as the first time. Probably cause it wasn't as special. But that's ok.
  13. I saw it in the morning, and I was like darn. Then I looked at my calandar.
  14. that means another shoqw with a weird meaning that deals with the macabre of death, and little playing with solos in the pit for five minutes. It will be preformed well though.
  15. our bands on youtube if you want to see it Search for Richland HS Jazz band congrats to everyone else.
  16. but in all and all, it's up to the judges to decide. My mom talked to one of the band directors at U Mass., and he said Richland had the most exciteing show; we just couldn't preform our show at the level LD Bell could. And the judges knew that, and therefore, we got ninth.
  17. I don't hate people for their opinions. some people don't like somethings, and it's rude to say that someone sucks because they say Bell wasn't their favorite show. We are all musicians here, so in all, it doesn't matter where we come from if we have a common interest.
  18. to me, there is a difference in enjoying the show and if it is really good. I don't enjoy Marcus's show, but they are probably the best marching band in Texas. I like excitement and energy, and Ld Bell is a marching band that I don't enjoy, but I will still say they were the best band there. At least visually.
  19. Who won the TCU jazz festival? I wasn't there.
  20. we got all ones. as expected, Sinfonietta was our worst piece. There was a lot of cracked notes in the trumpet, and a lot of false entrances (I don't think it made much of a difference)
  21. Richland is! We're playing Without a song (arr. Stitzle) Ballad for Benny (Oliver Nelson) Wrygly (Maria Schnider) it's a fun program. we're preforming at 1230.
  22. Our march is a grade 5 Everything else is a grade 6. It's tough. :E
  23. I hope our Sinfonietta will be ready by thursday... we're only playing the first mvt. for Pre UIL though...
  24. awww thank you We really have a great community and staff, so all the credit doesn't go to us.
