I've never played a Tichlei piece. Never. and probably never will. I love his music. Symphony #2 is hard. I have the score, and it's like every part has at least one hard part.

*insert tritone sound here* ah flutter tounging. I just pulled my mouthpiece almost all the way out of my mouth ( I mean there was just enough reed to make a sound) and I flutter tounged. Don't really know how I did it, but I did it.

I'm trying to arrange the third Movemnt of Mahler syyphony 1 for band. it's hard. It doesn't help that it's a round. I can play the tenor sax cut on Slava better(and I'm a bari sax player) than out all state tenor player, only because I can flutter tounge on sax. and he makes Slava! sound too pretty.

uhhu. and Dances from Crete, and Kingfischer cathes fire. and March (I don't know how to spell it) The 4A All state is play a piece we played last year in band. It's a freaking sweet piece.

we had 2 trumpets 1 tenor sax 1 flute 1 tuba 1 f. horn. I probably will make it next year. It would be nice being the first bari sax player to make state in my school...

I downloaded a demo, which mean I can't save. Sometimes, I make a good drill move, and then I have exit the program and I feel bad. Just like Finale demos.... I need to get Finale bad. I haven't composed a full score in ages.

David Zinman has the best recording of The Titan Symphony. Symphony #2 isn't my favorite because I don't like vocals much. I have David Zinman's recording. it's pretty decent. I'm looking for a good recording of Smyphonyies 5 and 6. The one I have is missing a lot of the percussion parts and it slightly is off pitch....

Ahh my only phase is on Saturday and I sorta wanna make Area.... It doesn't help that they take 5 people to region and 2 to Area :E

a cool thing about composers like Mackey is the fact that you can play any note at any given time in pieces like Turbine and it will sound correct. And that's hard to do.

does anyone know what TMEA is pklanning on playing for All State music? I know that one band is playing Kingfischer Catches Fire by John Mackey( Goodness, they must love him) but anyone know anymore?

yeah Bell did in 2005. Alfred Watkins didn't know what it was. We heard the tapes on our busses and we laughed at that. He loved us (Richland).
