I'm rather a fan of Blast. Then again, I've never seen Star back when they were a corp, so I'm not sure how I like them

Under "name" do we put our username or our real name?

Lux is a very nice song to listen to.... only thing is my recording has people coughing in every single quiet part, i kid you not, it must have been cold season or something, because the coughing and hacking is nearly continuous. It's not loud enough to really ruin the song, but still, when i'm blasting Lux, it gets annoying to hear everyone spitting up

well the only things i've written are piano pieces with my tutor, but I would be happy with having something else in the music career as my main job (IE Band director or other stable jobs). I do want to compose as a side job, and perhaps if i become good enough then switch to that as my main job. Mostly I'm clueless as to how all that's going to work out, though

So I'm just a graduating sophomore in HS and I'm wondering about pursuing a career pathway in music. I'm not quite sure exactly what, I know I want to eventually become a composer. For anyone who has already been down this road or is currently traveling down it, how hard is it to make a living as a musician? And how long / how many years of college would you estimate before being able to get a stable and comfortable lifestyle together? My parents wanted me to take the money maker job and become a dentist, but I've recently been thinking about music and how I love it. I just need some feedback on how it would work out for me, plus entering my junior year I should probably start doing some studying on some of my career ideas

Hmm we're doing Short Ride in a Fast Machine for our opener. that's all our BD has let out... but it's supposedly going to be alot deeper than our past shows, alot of people think we're gonna take PCEP this year at states i'm hopin we do . . . i mean it gets boring in MI when your band (i can't think of a modest way to say this) has no competition other than a GN Finalist whom you're pretty sure will whip you every time you see them

If he means that Politics play a big role in band placement during competition, then i'd agree.

Actually nevermind.... i just checked the predictions for the first time in a while and i noticed we can add events so nvm

Do you guys think it'd be good to have more predictions for regionals that no texas bands are going to, possibly all BOA Regionals and Nationals? Yes, i know this is TEXASbands.com but still, some of us here are not from texas, so we're at a bit of a disadvantage when it comes to predicting the outcomes and placements of the events we have now
