yay we got snow today

At this rate you guys in texas are gonna get snow before michigan does.

Someone did it during our opener at nationals It was "Short Ride in a Fast Machine" though so we kind of asked for it I thought it was sweet

I agree, the visual product that the Cadets put together for their ballad was amazing, and the high point with the guard members throwing in a ripple while that gorgeous chord was being played gives me goosebumps every time

I thought the ballad was the most beautiful thing on the field that night (yes, even against Faust). The rest was questionable, but Hopkins seems to have change his mind about the direction he wants to take his show design and I really look foreward to next year

I really love the arrangement for wind band and I'm interested in hearing the choral arrangement too. Does anyone have a recording of it?

i think it's triptophan or something close to that. i ate so much turkey i am numb. its kind of nice, actualy i feel a bit buzzed lol wow btw nancy what is that instrument in your avatar?

I guess theres some rivalries, alot of cavies fans in my band. One of our staff members who marched Scouts likes to yell stuff like "Last one back to their set likes southwind!" or "last one to set likes cavaliers!" but it's all in good fun. Mostly just kids who like cavs vs. PR fans or Cadet fans (our BD was a cadet and he manages use cadets shows to hook people into DCI)

Perhaps all BOA regionals, not just in texas?

My band is doing a show without any musical solos at all this year (there's some guard solos). Just wondering exactly how common that is, we've been doing classical shows for the past few years so we've always had solos, it just strikes me as weird

You need to quit living by the numbers

So who else thought the coverage was much better this year than last? Once they started getting to the top 5, alot more of the show was being broadcasted, versus the 2-3 excerpts from last year. Although it would've been cool to see the bottom 4 for more than a few seconds, I think they put together a better program this year.

I just think it's sad because he seemed really nice . . . a bit crazy yea but still

A girl i knew died because of reckless driving, last day of school too, so weird especially when you've known them for a long time
