This year, it's expected to be one of the most competitive areas in Houston. Lots has happened so far with Jordan winning the Katy Cup and Cinco having a really great season. Who knows how this will play out? UIL Region 23 Katy Mayde Creek James E. Taylor Cinco Ranch Morton Ranch Seven Lakes Tompkins Paetow Jordan Bellaire Westside Lamar Elsik Heights Hastings Alief Taylor (Non-Varsity) UIL Region 27 Cy-Fair Jersey Village Cypress Creek Langham Creek Cypress Falls Cypress Springs Cypress Ridge Cypress Woods Cypress Ranch Cypress Lakes Cypress Park Bridgeland Memorial Northbrook Stratford Waller Total: 32 Schools
  3. Yes it would mean 12 finalists. Not sure when the schedule comes out.
  4. Yeah... Last year Jordan should have gone to state. But their was no 6th spot
  5. Very much so. This area really needs those 6 state spots tho.
  6. Very true! Also, it sets the stage for the coming years.
  7. Very true. One thing that I love about Marching band is that it's always changing. It is hard to make the same products out of different shows, different ideas, And different people all around be judges or marchers.
  8. I mean it could happen. Just higly unlikly
  9. Jordan is playing music thats in know in the band world to be famously hard. Its also knowen and they will get good points for doing it well.
  10. I am surprised on the Jordan has a first in music
  11. After watching Jersey village they show us really cool. I really like the music. Also the web! Good job!
  12. And obviously I win general effect! Bass trombone= general effect
  13. This contest line up is just straight-up crazy. Looks like a state finals lineup lol.
  14. Very interesting to see how it played out. I find it very interesting with the 7L score. I would be interested to get my hands on a prelims one.
  15. Completely true. Jordan had that issue in the past, with the panel. As for the dirt they could get clean. I think 1. Bridgeland -obv 2. Cy-Woods - Good clean. Lots of visual maturity that judges will like. 3. Jordan -Overall, they are better and cleaner than they were in the past and are on the rise. 4. Cy-Fair - Great just don't play together as much as the other bands 5. 7L - Overall very good. Just don't quite have the difficulty of the people ahead of them. 6. Tomkins - don't quite have that wall of sound I feel like. Overall very good. 7. Cinco ranch - good just has a bit of visual dirt. 8. JET - Shows just very clean and kinda easy. I feel like difficulty will play a big role hear. 9. Ranch / Paetow - Bubble mystery 10. Langham / Park / Katy - Bubble mystery *This is not saying any bands are bad. This is just my thoughts and feelings.
  16. They let you go. When you come back you just start duty as normal.
  17. Andddd the forum is dead. Low key might make a bass trombone one.
  18. Tbh. Cinco shows is good and a cool concept I just don't see them competing for the 5th slot. 7L and Jordan just have a different level of music.
  19. What's crazy is the 2 loudest moments will happen back to back.
