No, its just a lot of band people. 6A state is going on (biggest state contest). That's 40 bands + there parents and everyone else who is trying to keep track of it all. -
I do agree with this statement. I do think a lot of people forget that there always is going to be bais. One judge thinking a shows better than the other. One thinks its harder. One thinks it easy. Your never going to remove that. To me, marching band would be boring if there was some Ai Rubic. Everyone would try to figure out the Rubic and just do the same thing. Half of show design is try to make it as cool to as many people as possible so its more likely to get judged well.

I know some parents hang around for a long time. For example: Katy HS has a volunteer who has been doing it for like 30 some years. Cy Fair has a dad who builds all there props for like the last 10ish years (I think). Some parents stay most move on. If you want to stay involved you can always show up to cheer the bands on or just stay active in the band world and keep up with new. You can keep volunteering I am sure no one will complain. I am a senior who really loves my band program and will keep supporting it likely till the end of time. There are some parents on here like @LeanderMomma who would be better to provide insight.

So, after all this the only thing I am hearing is we need 7a.... -
There is a video floating around that I saw and saved for those who want to see it (I attached it below). The crash looks bad, but the train hit the trailer on the joint. Hopefully, most there equipment is ok or needs minor repairs. Thankfully, it appears it got stuck, and the drivers/passengers had plenty of time to get to safety. I am glad to see other bands helping them in their hour of need. It really goes to show that the band is truly a one-of-a-kind activity. ee92eca3-c28c-40fa-bf46-b83d04b0a10d.mov
